Dwarven Beam Emitter, Medium

I have constructed a dwarven super weapon at my mournoth home and this thing would have been awesome... Only problem, unlike the teaser image in the crown crate rewards, apparently the beam upon preview does not emit really anything at all? Looks more like... A lamp. Lame-o! thought it would be more like a skyshard. Any one have this and can confirm the beam is not a beam at all?
EDIT thanks to the posters who helped me see that this is a pretty cool furnishing with multiple effects.

✭✭✭There are multiple settings, keep toggling through the E for the rest.
Word of caution, you can not refine/adjust the furnishing item up or down. The emitter fires in the opposite direction. This was called out to ZOS the day the crates were released, sadly no patch yet.2 -
