Why are these unsellable/undestroyable without a tedious "type DESTROY" process anyways? Literally every single other style materials don't work this way.

Spage✭✭✭First, those sell well, and Malachite is particularly valuable for furnishing.
Second, addons. There are two that will help, one to hotkey direct destroy from your inventory, and another autofills "DESTROY" for you.
Probably more out there too, those are two I have installed.

✭✭✭✭✭You can even destroy things (including the New Life unsellable consumables) in one swoop without addons. Mark everything as junk, and then go to the junk tab in the inventory and click "Destroy all Junk." It clears everything even if it would normally have a "DESTROY" input with only one conformation screen, and it's a yes/no, not a write comething.10 -

Not a stack. A single mat obviously.
Not everyone has ESO+ so everytime you get one of those old golden items you have to DESTROY them or else you have a messy inventoryclass representative for the working class, non-cp, bwb and Trolling3 -

But if you don't have a craft bag, that still means keeping them in your inventory until you can get to a bank.
When space is limited and you need to loot something else, deleting them is the only option.

this. you can do this and you can do this regardless of the platform. no addons needed.
that said, of all the things to destroy to clear the inventory... malachite? jesus... what platform are you on cause if you are on PC, you can just mail it to me instead.dirty worthless casual.
