That isn't the only guild I'm a member of that has a requirement about belonging to one alliance or another, but it's the only one I've ever been kicked from due to having other characters of the "wrong" alliances-- if that's even why I was kicked; as I said, it was done without explanation or notice, so I'm not even sure when it occurred, let alone why, and didn't even notice I'd been kicked until I decided to deposit some spare recipes in the guild's bank for other members to use.
To be honest, I don't have an issue with that type of requirement. The only reason I had an issue with being kicked without explanation or notice is because I was already a member of five guilds when I received an invitation out of the blue to join this other guild, so I had to drop out of one of my existing five guilds to be able to join this other guild-- and frankly, the only reason I decided to join this other guild was because I figured it had probably just been formed by someone and I thought it would be a nice gesture on my part to help them grow their new guild. If I'd taken a moment to read the guild's MOTD before joining, I'd have seen the requirement about belonging to the Ebonheart Pact, at which point I could have asked the person who'd invited me whether it was okay to have characters belonging to the other two alliances as well. So ultimately it was all on me, but it still left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

Nothing like a random, usually drunk or high, player slinging words that would make a sailor blush and being expected to take the abuse and move on.

I'm not sure why you are telling me rather forcefully, at least that's how I'm reading it, about how hard it is to start, outfit, and run a guild since my post had nothing to do with that...
I'm perfectly aware of how hard it is. I agree that GM's do a fair amount of work for their guilds but even the fully kitted out and "high quality" guilds I've run into, some that have multiple versions or sister guilds, have these people that feel that verbal abuse is perfectly acceptable, and I'm not talking about adult humor at all.
Yes we are all adults here, or at least mostly are adults, and every single time I've been insulted and abused verbally over my mental disabilities or the fact that I'm female and have a deeper voice and the GM just shuffled me off to the side and quietly asked ME to leave because they needed the other person and they were good for the guild.
From MY experience I've seen and dealt with a lot of toxic behavior in the "successful" guilds I've joined on Xbox One. I'm not naming any guild names, nor people for the naming and shaming rules, but from personal experience I know not all successful guilds are good guilds nor do they house good people all the time.
My biggest problem is with guilds where the officer team is biased toward selecting specific people, more often then not their good buddies, for activities all the time, while the rest of the guild has little to no opportunity to participate. I'm not talking about open ended activities such as skyshards and lorebooks but limited signup events such as 4-man dungeons progs for skins and titles. To compound the frustration that same officer team refuses to allow group events in their guild that does not include at least one of the officer team. That leaves a dead guild spot for those that are "left out in the cold" because they aren't part of the officer clique. For those in that situation my suggest is to GTFO as soon as you can. There are many other guilds that are more friendly toward their members. Those are the guilds you want to be in!
I struggle with the fact that I cannot chose in which slot a guild is. Sounds like a weird problem I know, but the thing is, everytime my “passive” guilds, (slot 3-5) change I have to redo the different chatcolours. And this happens pretty frequent tbh, no one to blame about that.

The dungeon thing just sounds like people doing stuff with their friends. I don't think that's unacceptable. Find 2-3 people you really click with and do dungeon achievements with them instead, don't expect a group to be made for you.

I have two main issues with the guild system in general:-
1. A limit of 5 guilds isn't enough. One more would be nice.
2. There are just no guild management tools built into the game, and that sucks.
There are minor issues too - I want to be able to reorder my guilds so I choose which is in position number 1, for example.
I totally appreciate the comments made by the OP, however I'd argue you're in some of the wrong guilds. There are guilds out there that are well managed, run for the benefit of the community, and offer a lot to players.

it's good to hear that not all guilds are run by jerks. As I mentioned i did find a guild that is quite inviting, friendly and less controlling. One where I'm able to complete achievements. One that isn't cliquish. For those of you out there that are stuck in loser guilds, get out as fast as you can and find a better one.
