The chapter with Merenus Dagon already says that this Daedric prince will be beaten again in an attempt to push himself into the mortal world. A game on nostalgia that mixed the love of money from the zos more than common sense.
Do you support this? I’m already horrified at how all the lore is being mixed together and how it has ceased to dock with each other. I personally don't even want to see this chapter because of this horror. Anything, but not something that has already been done before, and not something that parasitizes on nostalgia!

✭Tbh, I'm most likely not getting this chapter. Greymoor at least had a vampire/werewolf theme I liked.
Unless they add a new class/mechanic/skill line I'm just not interested in fighting daedra for the 500th time.That one khajiit obsessed with werewolf behemoth and vampire lord. Lady Thorn is bae, dont @ me.

One day there will be a fantasy game in which you just keep losing, those insurmountable odds just unable to be overcome. E.g. you start about 20 years before ESO and the ongoing plot is trying to stop the spread of the Knahaten Flu.11 -

I had hoped for a new story next year. I think the elder scrolls lore would have lots of unused ideas for good story arcs away from warm-up nostalgia trips of old that I tire of a little.
If they had asked me if I wanted Meruhnes Dagon back that answer would be a clear no. But we do not get a vote in the future of eso. They do what they please.
I chose the "a little different" poll option in hopes of a mix of old and interesting other.

Cyrodiil chapter - and the best they can do is simple copypaste of Oblivion Crisis? No other plot can happen in Cyrodiil other than same old Dagon invasion? Writers are too lazy to create something new? This looks like remake of TES IV, not ESO chapter. Now I understand that it took a lot of effort to create Western Skyrim with vampires instead of dragons, and perhaps this level of creativity drained writers so much that they decided to take a break and use the existing material for the next chapter.

Then again from a story standpoint it kinda makes some sense various other Daedric princes have made their moves, with all the chaos going on in the world, is it really surprising that Mehrunes Dagon is joining in even at this late stage.2 -

I'd say that it wasn't Markarth where ZOS failed, but Greymoor.
Markarth had a ton of bugs and, like, completed breaking the game, but at least it's main questline worked and it was good in the creative department, and in the Greymoor they had bugs in major quests, including the main one, and a generally big drop in quality.
Problem is not that they broke something, problem is that they are not fixing it. It's like they either lost or replaced a lot of devs or the maintenance mode is finally on. Because as a dev I'm not buying that "boo-hoo scary covid remote work" reasoning.2 -

Agree. This critshow has been going on for soem time and if it goes on, there will be nothing but casual players left and even they when they could not find enough players to do a Dolmen, would leave.Urban.Monk

I'd buy the chapter anyway. The plot of the season determines if I buy the next one. The quality determines if I sub, preorder, buy crowns and will generally hand out there or just do the quests and then log in only for trading and events while actually playing something else.
Not considering dropping it altogether for some reason, though.0
