While this will not be on the wish list of PvP fans it’s on my list.
Ideas/Suggestions:
Remake the Cyrodil / Imperial City zone and split it up for meaningful fun for more than PvP players.
1. Keep the existing map however make it a PvE zone.
2. Design three large scale PvP battle zones resembling the existing Cyrodil map.
3. Do the same for Imperial City
Explanation:
Idea 1:
This would become a place where PvE players explore for group only content. This means other than encountering 1-3 NPCs, the player would not be able to solo areas. This would not be faction limited so a group could potentially be made up of various races for players but NPCs would remain as they are.
This would be a place for PvE large scale NPC battles where PvE sets and rewards occur on a reset basis. Quests would remain as well as other world events to apply for varying experiences.
Those rewards would change quarterly for variance. This would seemingly feel like a raid and could also involve the PvE raid scoring and rewards.
Idea 2:
Because of the complaints on lag, balance, etc...Cyrodil PvP would become a new battle ground.
This would allow players to still queue in, however they would not be restricted to a campaign or the imbalances of such.
PvP gear should exist in a way that allows players to have two sets of gear on at all times and (swap) to PvP mode where items are PvP scaled and abilities. This would mean champion points may have a PvP swap too.
Should campaigns go away...no these could potentially be managed differently. Just as battle grounds today have results, player factions would still remain and based on the players level, gear and or champion points, this would flow into campaigns.
The battle grounds would cut the map into smaller sections to allow for quick all out battles. I would like to see a large map about a third of the size and smaller maps where popular areas exist.
This gives different experiences for players as well as different lengths of time.
Idea 3:
See the above two ideas and blend those into Imperial City.
