I mean, this area is still a complete mystery. In Skyrim it’s pretty much impossible to get there because of the cold. However, in the second age I think it could be explored especially by the vestige. We still don’t know what caused it to freeze over and why it is spreading south. I have a theory that an as of yet unknown daedric Prince might be responsible. Perhaps the daedric Prince of entropy, preservation and stasis. Who’s only goal is to freeze time itself. Would fit in with the lore of Atmora. Plus it would be pretty awesome playing in what is essentially the games version of Antarctica. Maybe tie in some Snow Elf remnants into the story that are trying to halt the spread of the ice.
