Best class for psyjic order

Hi

Never actually done psyjic order and figure it's something I should at least once. Even though it sounds.... painful. Given I'm probably not going to want to do it more than once, I was wondering which of my toons would benefit most from it. I've have one of each class, some mag some stam. Found a few posts from the past, but mainly old and probably out of date - I know for instance that the ulti is probably less useful now minor protection has been nerfed.

Is there any consensus on which abilities are good, and which classes benefit the most from them?

Any class can benefit from Psijic Order, @Larcomar.

The Psijic skills synergize well with Magicka Templar and Magicka DK ... since those two classes are naturally lacking in burst damage and mobility.

Thanks that's really helpful. Ill go for the dk - I use him quite a bit in cyro and he does struggle - mobility is limited and chains only works some of the time.

It really benefits everyone. I see every class and spec using Psijic abilities now and then.
I would do it on your most played character with focus on pvp.

I play Sorcerer and can not count how often Undo saved my life. Minor protection has always been just a minor motivation behind it. I also chose elemental weapons as my spammable.

It is all worth it, but it can truly be a nuisance when you have no wayshrines discovered and your mount is bad.

Not only does it have some burst, but also a LOT of utility options! The abilities can be used on just about every single class and I love using Race Against Time for catching up with Streak Sorcs and purging snares and Immobilizations. The large AoE stun is also good for locking down choke points but it costs a ton of magicka.

I’d say Sorcerer benefits most from it, since they lack a good class spammable and can use Elemental Weapon. Magblade also can make good use of Ele Weapon when they don’t need the self healing from Swallow Soul. Channeled Acceleration can be useful for Minor Force, but melee classes are usually better off using Barbed Trap.

If you are a non-vamp, non-sorc magicka character in PvP, you need Race Against Time. You can argue about the degree to which that is true, but it's true

I think any class would benefit from it given that you are willing to go all over Tamriel to complete the story quest line. Traditionally according to lore, Psijic Order might benefit magicka users. However if you are very strict on role playing, I mean acting like your character in your chats and stuff, then probably Sorcerer would be most beneficial.

Hmmmm now I'm all undecided again lol Choices choices.... My sorc is the closest thing to a main - did cadwells gold - and has most spare skill points so actually might make most sense to use him. But he's wrong alliance so usually just does tier 1/3 and my mag dk feels like he needs a bit of help. Tbh though my most played toons in pvp at least are prob my stamblade and stamden at mo. The stamblade is a scout sniper (sorry!) and the warden has pretty good mobility already with the bird.

A couple more questions if I may. It's actually looking more useful than I thought .... A spammable, really good mobility - I don't think there's anything that gives you major expedition for twelve seconds - and a sustain / recovery ability.

- How viable is crushing weapon as a stamina spammable and, in particular, as a bow spammable? D-swing feels like a no brainer on 2h, but the bow lacks a good spammable ability for skirmishing. Does it work (well?) with a bow - I wondered if,
with hawk eye passive, this might be quite good? - especially if that then triggered an orb. Which brings me onto ...

- I notice two or three people talked about it being useful for burst damage. I may be being thick, but I wasn't immediately seeing that. Does that come from using imbue weapon as a spammable and then spell orb passive? How strong is it?

- Prob the question I should have asked in the first place: how long does it actually take to level up? I'd read it described as "water torture" but read an (old) post yesterday where the guy said it took 2-4 hours. Thinking that I might level it on say sorc, but if curshing wpn is good for stam, maybe just get to level 3 for that?

Well you should level up all the way. The last passives and the ulti are just phenomenal. Besides if you have Caldwell's gold, you probably have all the wayshrines that are neccessary already and if you are in cyrodiil a lot, you should have a fast mount and possibly also rapids. Levelling it should be done on a lazy sunday afternoon for you.

Imbue weapon and morphs are the best off class spammables in PVE. For bursting in PVP they may be unfit. I would say it depends on your combo. And when you cast and use it.

Lazy sunday afternoon it is. Current project is levelling the necro's skills (switched him to stam); shd be done with that in a cpl of days. Ill take psyjic for a spin next. Thanks for you help

Whatever one you plan to use most for end game content. Ask yourself, do you have a good class spammable for PVE, after that, ask what class you will likley PVP the most with as there is some good utility there.

In terms of doing the quest itself, I would use the character with the most wayshrines unlocked and be sure you are at the speed cap. The quest is a massive grind that will take you literally everywhere.

If you're on PC and have addons to mark the time breaches etc. on your map (or you place custom markers yourself) it's a lot easier to grind out in a couple hours.

Fast mount with Rapid Assault and ... try not to stop to pick up every resource. That's my problem.

Maybe PvE warden/sorc/nb healers don't have a use for it. All others do in PvE: tank, healer, stam, mag.

Minor force can be had with trap but channel accel is often a better or more convenient choice.

PvP RAT it's pretty powerful for any mag, healer or tank. Stam's PvP don't all use it but many do.

I would say the most important toons to get it on would be slow one's particularly in support PvE roles or PvP: necros, templar, DKs.
