Bolgrul's delves should drop event tickets

Re-posting here because I put this in the wrong section:
I realize the event says, "The first time you slay a final boss in a dungeon each day" you get 3 event tickets- but Bolgrul's delve boss doesn't count? I ran this the other day because I didn't have time to queue in for a dungeon & didn't get event tickets when I killed the delve boss...

Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of having a "cub size" undaunted quest? Yes, I got the Undaunted plunder box & tiny undaunted reward box, but really, all I wanted were the event tickets.

If we participate in the event, shouldn't we get event tickets? Even a smaller amount would be better than none.

Should it? Probably. Can they program it? I wouldn't be so sure, remember the dailies from morrowind and clockwork suddenly giving tickets? And after the fix quests still had tickets in their reward text (but you didn't get tickets anymore)

    Delve =/= dungeon

If you don't have time to queue into a dungeon there is always normal fungal grotto 1. All it takes is run up to two bosses with low health and kill them.

It is a dungeon based event, be happy that a delve quest even gives event boxes.

If you want your daily tikets fast run fungal grotto 1 normal. You can skip 2 bosses and easily solo it.

It wouldn't be a "truly undaunted" event then. It cracks me up, though, as how you get the "master undaunted" at level 5. Ha ha. Anyways, I think it would be better to get the tickets when you return to the undaunted enclave to one of the three dungeon quest givers. I think it was this way once upon a time. Just in case you forget to loot the final boss. It happens. Sometimes I don't bother with looting the final boss because there's no gear from it I would like or need.

Would be a nice start to get one crate from Bolgrul per char and day, not per account and day.

I agree with you. The undaunted event is about the undaunted enclave and their crew. Bolgrul is undaunted. He should count.

I think that it would be nice for new players to be able to get something too. A lesser reward to be sure as it is a lesser quest. So I could see adding one ticket, once a day for the delve to the existing reward. That way they get a better taste of the event and may get inspired to do some dungeons.

Fungal Grotto I or Spindleclutch I are just as easy to solo as a regular delve.

    That's just not true.

I did FG1 for the very first time a couple of days ago. I did it solo based on what some guild mates were saying. On a level 50 character built to solo (tanky), with two gear sets and no monster set (remember first dungeon) I had no real problem. I didn't die, but it sure as heck was more difficult than any regular delve I've done.

However, I think that the message you're trying to convey is pretty much correct. FG1 is definitely doable. I've been pulling a friend who's a new player, on a low level toon through for the last two nights. They've died a few times but are having fun.

I would argue that the spirit of this event is to do the Undaunted quests, which for some players and some dungeons can be a solo experience. "Undaunted" =/= "Unalone." :) I think the social aspects of the Undaunted faction come later, when the brave dungeon clearers sit around a table in a tavern and trade stories and show each other their battle scars while boozing it up.

So, when you do not have the time to do a group dungeon, you should get event tickets anyway ? For real ?

People are only asking for this because the wording of the announcement suggested that the event rewards from the daily delve quest was so beginners could participate in the event, too, as well as people who didn't have time to do a dungeon.

The "problem" is that the only event rewards you get are those that come in a purple box, which seems counterproductive to the whole "even beginners who can't do dungeons yet and players who are crunched for time can participate" idea.

Note that I'm okay with the way it works now; I'm just saying why some people are wanting this.

I think it would be appropriate if Bolgrul's daily delve gave one ticket.

PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

It would be nice for new players, and also players who are just terrible at DPS/tanking/healing who know they're terrible and don't want to potentially be abused by doing group content.

But unfortunately ZOS has decided to use the event to try to push people to do group dungeons. :/

At the end of the day ESO is an MMO, @SydneyGrey, where grouping up with others is encouraged and rewarded.

If players don't want to participate in group gameplay (after purchasing an MMO title), that's totally fine.

Just don't expect a solo style of gameplay to be catered to ... when an Event specifically showcases group dungeons.

I'm not overly keen on the idea of grouping up with other players-- not because of any past "bad experiences" (although there was that one time last year), but more because I know that my mains are sub-standard by a lot of other players' standards, so I'd prefer not to "weigh down" or "hold back" anyone else. Plus, I would rather solo whatever dungeons I can and take as long as I want (or need) to kill every MOB and boss in it, not to mention looting every container, drink, alchemy bottle, and piece of trash gear I come across. I was quite happy to sit out the Undaunted Celebration on PC EU in past years due to my inability to solo any dungeons yet, and just participate on PC NA, although this year's Undaunted Celebration is longer than the previous ones, so I think maybe players who sit this one out stand to lose more event tickets than in past years.

    @Taleof2Cities

The event specifically showcases delve quest as well. In fact, the event showcases the delve as an alternative to doing a dungeon.

Not really. It takes forever to get a random group dungeon now and you can easily miss it and get locked out if you don't stare at the screen while waiting.

Not much "group activity" in that part.

Fix the grouping and you might have a much better point.

EDIT: I just missed another day's tickets on EU because I sat in the queue for over 1/2 hour with no response. Yeah, this event is so great and encourages so much interaction that we can sit around and do nothing!

I actually just did that last night, some jerk in the group ran ahead and killed the final boss before we were able to catch up to him & so we missed out on the event tickets. We then waited another HOUR to get into another dungeon.

The reason you wait an hour is you. 95% of the playerbase wants to play dps and then wonder why they can't find a group quickly. Tons of dps and not many tanks/healer in the queue.

It's even worse on normal difficulty, most healers and tanks don't bother because since normal content can be completed with 4 dds they feel useless there and queue for vet so healer and tanks are even more rare in normal. If you want faster queues either play a tank/healer or queue for vet. I always queue for vet as dd and it takes 15 mins at most.

If you play dd on normal, you will wait a lot.

Totally agree- I ran as a tank & 1st run we got in quick (only needed a dps), 2nd queue in we had the hour long wait, we were down our healer & still needed a dps...

I’ve been doing the delve assignments only as I don’t really know when I sit down to play if I’ll have to stop from time to time for family crap so I can’t really commit to a long que then an unknown amount of time in a dungeon. I get that it’s an MMO and generally I don’t have an issue taking the solo penalty, but for such an event a token bone would be reasonable, like 1 ticket even. The reward boxes, at least for the delves, are pretty much useless. I’m doing them to level undaunted line and the for xp.

I've always said that the tickets for this event should be tied to the first Undaunted quest you complete each day. That would allow the whole player base to participate.

At least doing the delve quest to level up the Undaunted line is a great idea- I hadn't thought of that! We still get small event boxes for rewards but we should get at least 1 event ticket too, since we're participating in the event.

For 30 minutes and likely more? I am just supposed to sit there and watch the screen, kind of like watching paint dry? That is definitely not compelling content!
