PC Players - has today's patch fixed the crashing?

✭✭✭✭✭So the patch seems to have fixed the game-freezing problem I'd experienced in Tempest Island.
And tonight in zone chat people were saying that the patch has fixed the lich problem, although I haven't run any dungeons with liches in them since well before Markarth, so I can't say yet whether they're working for me or not.
But in the forums a lot of people are saying that the crashes weren't fixed by the patch.
So I'm confused.
One thing it did not fix is the bug where doing anything in your inventory resets it to the "all" tab, so that's fun (not).
Did anyone get their Skill Point(s) back? I honestly can't tell if I did or not, because I forgot to check it last night before the servers went down. And to be honest, it's just 1 Skill Point for me, I've got over a dozen I haven't spent yet, plus several more that I haven't collected yet from quests and dungeons, so I'm not even concerned about whether I ever get it back or not.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!1 -

✭While Lich dungeon bosses are not crashing anymore, vMoL was crashing different people several times. Run was like 7h ago.2 -
Aetnaria✭✭Nope, still crashing. Did two random dungeon runs today, crashed during the boss fight both times - Volenfell & Stone Garden. The timing was such that I did not get credit for the Volenfell boss kill.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I've had a significant reduction in crashes since I lowered the particle affects slider to the 1/3rd mark. Did that about 10 days ago, could be a coincidence or maybe not.1 -
Carbohydrate✭✭✭Was in sunspire for about 90 minutes. Had at least 1 crash every other pull. Looks like this patches' guess at a fix, yet again, was off the mark.
At this point you would expect some sort of QA team testing patches before release, but who am I kidding.1 -

✭✭✭✭We had it on Xbox on the weekend.
In PVP, I've had no random freezes and 1 crash, which was at last emp keep during a three way (which has always had a chance of your client just shutting down).
That was with like 10 hours playtime. So the recent freezing has been fixed. Now it's just back to usual server performance issues.
I did like 6 or 7 dungeons and nobody crashed. Again, just the usual complaints. Like it throwing you into group chat and you lose all chat channels. ZOS, please ask if I want to join group chat, like it does with changing zone. Having to kill the client just to get chat back is a joke and can be easily worked around if you don't know how to fix the actual issue.Edited by Brrrofski on December 8, 2020 8:49AM0 -

I only ever had ONE crash after Markarth release and ONE after the Hotfix's release. And I pug daily.
I have a low end computer with Win10 and a mediocre internet connection. But I run a tight ship. Monthly maintenance, cleanup access rights, up to date drivers, etc.
It might be pure luck, that I am not crashing as much as others, but I'd like to think not. There are many guides out there on the web to improve overall game performance. Maybew that will help you all as well.No Effort, No Reward?

Nope! They didn't fix it, I've pretty much given up on it and I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of those skillpoints lost unless you completely reroll the character.1 -

There's always one. It's the game code, not people's internet / PC / weather / choice of takeout.7 -

✭I'm on Linux and since the release of Markath, I only experience freezing 3 times in total for every day playing. It's been nice and smooth for days, even before this patch.
I'm not sure what's going on, but Vulkan does the job for 3D computing here. Using AMD Radeon card.0 -

Pauwer✭✭✭✭✭My biggest wish is that we could play an older version of the game, when it was working fine. Everything was fine years ago. Why do they on purpose sabotage their own product? It just gets worse with every "up"date.1

It seems like less crashes, but still crashes. For sure not fully fixed, but the dungeons with lich bosses are at least playable on vet again.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Can confirm: game crashes are still happening (PC NA/EU) after the Dec 7th patch maintenance, in trials (in and out of combat), overland content, and even while waiting in loading screens. Please be aware that the problem hasn't been fixed @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober. I've had multiple groups cancelling raids this week because of this

Shardaxx✭✭✭✭✭Mixed reports here then, sounds like people are still crashing in dungeons and trials, but some hope that pvp isn't crashing so much.
We've noticed that crashes happen far less when you're not in a group. Hardly ideal for cyro of course, and not possible for group activities, but it does seem that being in a group has something to do with the crashing, and the larger the group, the worse it is.

✭Trial group I run had zero progress on vMoL HM for over two weeks due to multiple people crashing on Rakkat almost every pull, and I and my group members had a huge number of dungeon crashes in the same time. Yesterday we cleared vMoL HM easily with zero crashes, then went back in and did it a second time for speed run and no one crashed on that either. I also did several dungeons with no one crashing.
So for me - huge improvement so far, but a lot of people are still reporting crashes even though my groups had none since. I'm not sure what to think, but I'm hoping trials today run well...0 -

Tried bootcamp windows and installed ESO same thing during dragonhold quest in sky island it gives a crash to desktop... All attempts with no addons... I know it isn't my end been playing WoW with out crashes while waiting for eso to get fixed
Even played FF14 and no crashes

Hopefully they fix it at this point I am unable to play the game at all... Besides using it as chat simulator.1
