Mythic Item Suggestion: Nurturing Protection

Necklace
Prismatic Recovery
Infused

Damage shields applied by you heal the target for 20% of their max over 6 seconds if broken.

Numbers can be adjusted if thats too strong or weak.

Why? It would be a nice little extra heal for survivability.

Edit: removed the suggestion that it be triggered from the damage shield timing out since that would cause an infinite feedback loop when used with certain other sets.

If we were playing guess the class, I would guess magsorc

All mythics have a trade off, what would you suggest here?

How about an extra 50-75 regen of stamina, magic and health per second to yourself and all groups members that you are healing or over healing per second.

Don’t think healers would wear it for serious content like 12-man trials but add regen to it and I bet they would for sure. Or even 1-2 ultimate per second while in battle to yourself and group members.

That just isn't true at all, and I don't understand why people keep insisting that it is. Of the 8 mythics currently in the game only 4 have any sort of kiss/curse effect going on. The only tradeoff to the other 4, which all 8 share, is simply having to give up another set bonus to use them.

I would actually guess dk tank. And not all mythics have a trade off, I mean, look at ring of the pale order that is built for solo, what's the trade-off in solo content?

Not sure, but I'd like to see better mythics for tanks and healers.
They could start by buffing the chest and Pearls of Ehlnofey.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

The trade off is obviously it can't be used in group content.

I play all classes but Nightblade is my main.

The trade off here is that you're using a set that would help with survivability instead of one that increases dps.

This would be great for group content actually. Pvp healers who use a lot of damage shields would probably have this on hand for pushing keeps since it can be tricky keeping track of all your teammates during crazy keep battles.

And if it worked with the new Ice Staff AOE damage shield it would be good for keeping your allies from dying to siege.

As for tanks. I could see me using it on some of my high health tanks in pve if it were % based. Then I could move some other stats into dps so that clearing dungeons doesn't take as long when paired with trash dps.

Oh and if it isn't obvious I downplayed the numbers so the meta pvp'ers aren't freaked out. Some of them seem to think that the smallest of changes will be the end of ESO.

Since Battle Spirit is a thing in Pvp and it reduces healing by half, the % number could and probably should be pushed up to 40% of max health. Even if you're a tank with 40k health thats just a measly 2k per second. Though some players would freak out at that, 2k per second really isn't much. Even my strongest tanks take at least 1k damage per standard ability in pvp from a dps player.

And thats IF the damage shield is broken. I've been told that damage shields now have resistances applied to them. So if a pvp tank has high resist and armor and only one enemy is attacking them in pvp its likely that the damage shield will time out before its broken. The ring then won't proc its effect. Besides, unless you have godly dps and skill in pvp you're not going to be able to kill a good tank solo anyways.

If you have enough dps or players to break the damage shield on a pvp tank and trigger this effect you'll probably be able to easily out dps the heal over time.
