Oh look another "Fix" that managed to break the game even further.

ZOS just released a patch to fix the game. The game that was broken further by another patch meant to fix what Markarth did. Now the game doesn't even fully launch on Xbox.
I thought "Oh cool, the game is getting fixed early" when it booted me out and asked me to update. Nope. Now it asks for a patch when trying to log in...the patch I just downloaded...there are no more patches...
Edited, after chatting with guildmates.
I'm just going to assume that ZOS accidentally released the patch early...or microsoft approved it early and that the servers weren't actually updated yet.
Guess I'll just go watch movies or something and hope I can log into a fixed game tomorrow.
Sorry for the venting ZOS. Its just...all the crashes lately. They get to me. I'm sure you guys are actually trying your hardest. At least I hope you are.

Microsoft still approves things that get released on their platform whether they own the studio releasing it or not. Developers can't just put out updates to their games without someone at big M approving it for release on Xbox.2 -

hexentb16_ESO✭✭✭✭I assume OP tried to log in after the ongoing maintenance for Xbox started today.
At the time of posting this there was no maintenance announcements for the game on xbox. Not on the login screen and the only mention of it that I saw in the forums talked about future patches and past patches. Oh and the ZOS comments I later saw in other people's posts saying that they were looking into the issue.
Edit: I didn't check the maintenance section of the forums since there was no indication that server was undergoing maintenance at the time. Some players were actually still logged in at the time too.
What normally happens with xbox updates is that the players usually just update when they next login and the game is good to go. As for the servers getting updated or going down for maintenance we usually get notifications via server announcements that pop up on our screen and are very noticeable in chat. That didn't happen this time.
Even when there was finally a maintenance notification on the login screen it said it was scheduled 1-2 hours after I got booted from the game.Edited by hexentb16_ESO on December 5, 2020 6:02PM1
