All my guild and fixed group activities are stopped currently.

If the patch is not working 100%, most of them will quit the guild or even the game.

The hardest moment, we dont want 2 more weeks AGAIN.

This isn't the first time the game has had issues such as this, we've had patches before where we ended up with loads of crashes, and other issues. Remember not being able to fence steel goods?

It happens, each patch clears some of the problems and we carry on playing, other issues will be found which will cause problems which will then get patched at a later date.

In an ideal world the code would be re written from the bottom up, but this isn't an ideal world so code will get bolted on again and again and as a result problems happen.

Yes this is a bad patch but by and large the game is still playable.

To get into the weeds: If the patch renders the game able to do nothing but craft potions and kill mudcrabs - there are a lot of white knights here that will argue that the game isn't 'unplayable'.

I couldn't even log in the other day. Kept freezing and crashing. After the 4th attempt I just gave up and started watching netflix :/

Not a white Knight merely stating fact. Today i have done one trial and 9 dungeons (8 were vet hm). We had the normal 11th and 12th into the group dcs plus one dc in the trial, and we had no dc'd in the dungeons.

So yes the game is not unplayable, yes some parts are broken. But the broken parts do not make the game unplayable

ESO will never be 100% fixed. Even group content will never be 100% as it never has been. Over the years I have seen trial instances bug out and server lag making it impossible for anyone in the group to avoid damage. All sorts of issues to a degree I have not seen in any other major MMORPG.

To the general point of the thread, when you have groups crashing in trials and dungeons, flagship content, to this degree it needs to be turned around quickly. I expect Zos feels the urgency but it also has to be embarrassing that over a month into this update and such major issues are not fixed yet.

Dungeon finder has always been broken and most likely always will be. Hopefully they can fix the crashing on Monday, if not, it's still playable for me. So far I've only crashed once a day.

You're lucky. I crashed with crash report once just by walking in Vivec city and crashed to desktop twice during a cyro raid.

Certified white knight here. Even I can't look the other way ... when many friends are crashing or not able to complete content because of something other than mechanics. :/

There have been bad patches before, that's true. What is different now is that all patches need to be approved by Stadia, so any fix is 2 weeks to a month away at best.

That Stadia deal is something that will be taught in business schools on how NOT to bargain a deal.

It's not quite up there with Nokia going all-in with Windows Phone and going from being the market leader to being out of business in a year, but so far it certainly has its similarities: they are putting a lot of effort into supporting a platform that seems to be going nowhere, are most likely unable to get out of it because of a deal they struck with the platform provider, and making the rest of the customer base suffer for it.

The more content we get, the worse the state of the game gets. Don't expect any patch to fix this situation.

I understand that 2 week maintenance schedule is a long-used pattern. But what I don't understand is why hotfixing game breaking problems such as crashes is tied to the schedule. Hotfixing should be done immediately
(even on sunday if necessary) after finding a solution regardlesss of maintanence schedule. Saying that "yes, we've found a solution but you must wait week and a half for the solution to be applied during scheduled maintenance" is a very bad customer treatment.

Better make plans for it to fail. Patches tend to do that. Best case scenario, you'll be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't!

That works both ways. If 90% of the players are running overland content mostly without any serious issues but 10% of the players are crashing constantly in trials and Cyrodiil then the latter will argue that the game isn't playable. The reality is that for most players the game is sufficiently playable to remain enjoyable while for some it is not. Hopefully their issues will get resolved before too much longer, and I'd certainly consider an official statement as to the state of the game to be overdue. While the CMs have made a number of acknowledgements in various threads I do think it's past time for Messrs Firor and Lambert to step up and put a proper statement on the website.
