Cost increase as part of a 5-piece bonus isn’t breaking news, @Zama666.

New Moon Acolyte 5-piece also has a cost increase ... and has been around for a year now.

You can offset the cost increase in numerous ways. An example would be using cost reduction enchants on jewelry.

Thanks! Just thought the 5% increase would a reason not to get this set. Did not know this know this was intentional. Thought it was a typo.

    Pros n Cons I guess!

Yeah, the 469 extra damage is significantly more than other 5-pc bonuses (like 300 for Julianos/Hunding's), or it's more generic than others (like War-Maiden's, which only applies to magic damage), so there's a cost increase

A Kiss-Curse in the language ZoS has used.
Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

which set do you think is better? i was wearing New Moon Acolyte 5-piece and switched to Red Eagle's Fury, but you mentioned others and gives me the impression that you think Red Eagle's Fury is better then or as you said quote: "it's more generic than others".
i have to admit i feel new moon was better in damage output, but i have not done the math nor tested.
i would like to know your opinion.

What I meant by generic, is that there's a whole host of sets that only increase one type of damage. Be it Magic (War Maiden), Succession (Rotating between Fire/Ice/Lightning), whereas Red Eagle's does it to all weapon skills (but increases those costs).

I think NMA is still better, if you're in a group that is providing you with resource management, otherwise the extra cost is tough to sustain (or have it paired with False God's).

The reason is that NMA affects ALL skills, including class skills, where as Red Eagle's only does weapon skills.

But that's just my opinion, I play DPS, but I main a healer, so I haven't done all the math on it either.

If you have a passive that reduces the weapon ability and a set that increases the cost don’t they negate or how does the cost reduction passive interact with the cost increasing part of a set bonus?
