So as of right now, in every Battleground at least 40% of players games will crash at some point, game crashes when just standing in towns, game crashes in trials.

How is this OK? And to charge people to play this, people who took out 3/6month eso plans, expecting to be able to play the game. You are charging people for a service that is not being provided.

Either you have to pause eso plus or fix the game ASAP, I know it's never going to be perfect but to be crashing this often is in no way acceptable.

I promise I'm not being one of those folk who just pipe up and say "I'm having zero problems" and leave the thread like you're talking BS. But I have never crashed just standing in towns. Dungeons and trials I have and seen many people succumb to the dreaded dc's.

I'm on the series x and when I'm not in dungeons, the game has actually been flawless. I'm not using hyperbole, it genuinely has. But yeah, dungeons are a complete and utter disgrace at the moment.

Have you been playing much? Ive had a few periods where its gone 2-3 hours no crash but then other times it will crash every second battleground or liek the other day standing in a pretty empty Craglorn the game crashed 4 times in about 20 minutes... Every battleground i play starts full and ends with 2-6 people missing so its not just me with the issues.

Yeah, a fair bit as I was self isolating so had to find something to pass the time. I've pretty much been playing 7 hours a-day because it's all I can do. I'm not doubting you at all because I've seen lots of folk crash in dungeons and have had a few myself, but outside of instanced dungeons, it's been completely fine. You using a series x too out of interest?

I'd watch what you're doing before taking this advice. It's true, however, you'll likely find your account gets banned because like when you do it with banks, ZoS obviously take into account that you have received crowns and some services and people have had their accounts banned.

So I play on all platforms since I make ESO PvP content so far from what I have seen is Playstation has been hit the hardest when it comes to crashing, since they did the most recent maintenance for all platforms done on the same day is when I started to see my self crash on PC as well a few times a day and thats never happened to me since I made an account on PC a few months ago. On xbox im seeing more lag or slowing than crashing I was on xbox NA yesterday for probably 8 hours and crashed 1 time BUT my character doing PVE content would move around extremely slow at times which made things difficult even when the most recent dlc hit I smash out the new solo arena easy "since I had practice on pc" and got all achievements done on there as well but last night I actually died 5 times on the last boss because mid fight I went into slow motion. But still managed to get the win but back to what I originally said was currently i believe PS has it worse atm but also know that there are HUGE bugs for the new update on the PS5 and even though its a different console compared to the PS4 its still on the same network, same server, same everything just like Xbox. But I really wonder if when they did the maintenance last week on the same day for all platforms had or has something to do with a new bug being placed in the game somehow 🤔

I'm on the PS5 and I've found it kind of goes through phases. When it's not in a bad phase I'm the same, it's flawless unless I seek out something I know is broken, like liches, or the spider bosses when they were bugged. Even in dungeons and trials I'll very rarely have issues, while others will. But then I'll go through a patch where one of my toons will constantly crash even doing the most banal things that may or may not require a loading screen, or the game will repeatedly freeze up (Wayrest Undaunted enclave especially, I've had it happen to me and to a friend) which if you change location if you can - in my case I was waiting for the queue to pop - it tends to get more stable again.

The interesting thing about the freezes is that there's no rhyme or reason to it. When it happened at the Undaunted there were a few people yeah, but I was also there on the weekend with more people, people dueling literally in the middle of the camp, everyone spamming skills, on mounts, all kinds of stuff without problem.

I’m playing on XB1-S. I’m in one trial or another just about every night so what I’ve done is get in the habit of hard resetting my Xbox before those trials and deleting the save game information off the console only. I end up loading back in with other load screens but have way less lag since I have got in this habit.

Also make sure your consoled is wired to your network, going wireless is going to give your more lag and crashes than it’s worth.

I still get the occasional crash myself in nCR3, vSO first boss, and vAA first boss, but the dual dungeon places like Fang Lair where one or two always get the boot I am able to finish the fight. Spindleclutch I don’t even run with people but I’ve figured out how to avoid the perma moonwalk by getting way out of the aoe and rolling back as it explodes. Yes it extends the fight but it em an at least a be done.

The Craglorn thing is idiots trolling the zone and crashing everyone out, my hope is eventually ZOS can zero in on those folks and perma ban their accounts and IP addresses. FYI if you get stuck on a toon open a ticket and ask to be placed in your home.

As for other weirdness I do get the random loading screens in high population areas where there are 6 or more duels going on next to a wayshrine. I wish people had better etiquette not to do this and cause all kinds of latency and lag for the rest of us, but either they don’t know better or they just don’t care.

So to sum up try wiring your XB directly to your network, maybe even check your network settings to make sure it gives priority to your console if you have a bunch of people sharing the same network. Also try a hard reset or deleting the save game from the console from time to time. If you aren’t sure how to do that make sure you do a search first on how to delete the save files locally from your Xbox. If you mess up your whole game could be lost.

This one has been fixed, at least.

On XB do you get that thing we have on PS4 where the last person to join a trial group is booted from the game for message spam?

We got one in vSS on Thursday night after killing the fire dragon. 10 members got the boot for message spam right as the dragon went down.

Same here but on PC-EU all issues has been in dungeons and trials, game went months without crashing in game before the update now its common as in almost daily.

Now I assume some overland fights can crash the game, it looks like liches and lot of lighting has an chance of crash.
First trash in vAA I and another.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Yup, exactly the same.

It's weird too because last week and a bit before that it wasn't really an issue for me at all. I'd crash on occasion, but nothing terrible. Then all of the sudden the front fell off and now I can't go a single night without multiple, like double digit, crashes.

Had 11 crashes in 6 hours played last night, so one approximately every 35-40 minutes. At one point I crashed at like 0100 when the server was pretty quiet, I was literally just standing at the gate doing nothing. Another time I crashed outside of Sej while I was just chilling on the porch doing nothing, logged back in and immediately crashed again. At the end of the night I crashed at Chalman like 3-4 times in 40 minutes. There was a handful of AD messing with the handful of EP that showed up to retake the keep -- the AD went into the tower and, finally seeing an opportunity for a good old fashioned tower fight with people who actually know how to fight I figured I might as well finally go have some fun. It was probably about 10ish people in total I think, so nothing crazy. I crashed. Came back, fought for about ten more minutes, crashed again. Relogged and crashed again. Came back and the AD group had moved to the back of the keep but one roaming NB in the group saw me re-materialize on the rampart and came out to fight. We had a nice 1v1 for a few minutes, I finished him off and literally on the downswing of my execute...crashed. Dude probably thinks I'm a [female hygiene device] and was standing on his body to taunt or deciding whether or not to bag him...sorry about that friend if you're reading this.

There's just literally no rhyme or reason to it anymore. I crash when the server is empty. I crash when the server is full. I crash in the middle of hammer zergs and I crash when it's empty and dull. I crash defending a crowded keep and I crash at towns without a peep. I crash fighting solo inside a tower, I crash when I stop to pick up a flower. I crash when trolling on the milegate at Ash, I crash when zerged and I run like the flash. Wherever I go or whatever I do, ZOS finds a way to make sure I crash too. Between these events no connection lies -- lets hope it get fixed before this game dies.

*edit: Felt inspired to turn the last paragraph into a Dr Seussish poem to cheer myself up. It kind of worked.

Just an update, played three battlegrounds yesterday, crashed out of two. Also crashed one time just standing still in overland, before switching over to dynasty warriors 9.
