Maybe I do not understand the shield glyph thing. Torugs pact is on the front bar and the shield glyph is on the back bar. Does Torugs Pact even affect the effect on the other bar?

Yes torugs buffs your shield glyph from your backbar while you are on your frontbar

Just got my Spirit Slayer title!

If it helps, I used Domi (light), 5 Torugs (1 heavy + 4 light), 1 x UI (medium), UI lightning staff (infused), UI necklace (arcane), UI ring (bloodthirsty) and Pale Order (bloodthirsty). Your CP stayed the same. Also dropped Aegis/CA for Familiar.

Perhaps for the new players you mention in your opening, you could use the correct name, 'Glyph of Hardening,' instead of the terminology ('Shield Glyph') used by experienced players?

I feel like glyph of hardening is misleading and doesent describe what it actually does. So i use both terms.

Folks who might be unaware of all of the items in the game (the new players you champion with your request in the OP) can actually find the item you are referring to if you use its proper name.

Do a Google search for 'eso shield glyph.'
The results are more misleading than an item name that doesn't include the word 'shield.'

      Not trying to be argumentative.
I'm only pointing this put because I did a search for 'shield glyph' when I read your post, because I wanted to try one out, and I wasn't aware of something in-game that went by that name, and I'm not a new player.
But now that I've found the actual item, I understand that you were using the short-hand that experienced players use.
Which is fine. But it will confuse new players.

For my mind Templar's best skill in vateshran is jabs, the healing coupled with pale order is rediculous. Had no issues on the second blue boss doing that phase 2nd by simply circling it and jabbing away. This is the build I used, its pretty much a one bar build with the exception of switching to the backbar every 10 seconds to reapply wall of elements and draining to proc icy. There's so much proc damage you can just focus on jabbing the rest of the time, only boss I found it necessary to use shield was mino.

I'm trying to do the same for magic sorc and templar, but where do all those major and minor buffs come from? There is nothing to grant Major Prophecy and Minor Prophecy on the sorc build for instance.

Dark magic when u use a skill exploitation gives minor prophecy so basically when u cast crystals frags and potions give major prophecy @moo_2021

Yeah it's still totally viable but you have to adjust cp and unslot pale order while your in a group.

@PeterUnlustig Have you, or anyone, tested Heartland Conqueror set instead of Noble Duelist, in front bar?
Since it is craftable and doesn't need to be activated in melee range...

Is there a trait that affects heavy attacks???

The new build is noble and infallible with pale order. Ez

I know these sets synergise well, as other combinations.

But keeping focus in the defensive aspect of Torug's Pact with hardening glyph (aka shield), aswell It's offensive aspect with the front bar weapon glyph, my question would be if Heartland Conqueror would be better or worst than Noble Duelist?

I didn't quite understood your question with heavy attacks.
Any fire, frost, etc weapon glyph, in front weapon, will have double value with Heartland Conqueror (if i read it well) and enhanced by Torug's Pact.

And i ask because these set combination can be used in PvP aswell, in some specific builds as heavy attacks DK and Pet Sorc, for instance.

Now don’t get me wrong torugs infused with heartland shield glyph would be good but it wouldn’t be for a heavy attack build

Does infused need to be on both bars? Or only torug on front or the other set on back bar?
