Retiring Motifs?

Just saw a big list of Motif books they are retiring from the crown store and yet they are still selling some atm. Doesn't make sense to me. Is this usual? Or have I missed something?

✭✭✭✭✭Items periodically leave the crown store amd return. Except for specific holiday motifs, all crafting motifs are available in game, and none of the CS exclusive ones are required for Master Writs
It creates artificial scarcity, reduces the clutter of a giant list of older motifs in the CS, and removed styles tend to start showing up in future crown crate seasons.
