Bow Range?

People always told me bows had the most range int he game, but with a range add on i can see that both bow and healing staff have a max range of 23 meters, so is this just a myth then? i expected both weps to be more than 23 with at least 28 like abilitys/spells.

I used to use bows in beta. But in reality you won't be able to shoot that far. They might have changed it but I could not even shoot from a keep to the ground to hit people because they were too far away, but they could hit me!

Tool tip says 28 meters on poison arrow.. Snipe is 40m and when morphed will give you 5m more for all other attacks on that target.
