"Notice" Exclamation Marks

Of all the little things that annoy me in the game, the tiny exclamation marks that pop up when I pick up items are just the most annoying things in the game. If I pick up something brand new or something I don't have any of (but did have before), sure, it's cool to get a notice. If I'm picking up something I have 40,50 or 200 of, I don't care.

Does anyone know how to remove these?

looking at your inventory right after you pick up an item removes the "!" mark. Your welcome.

Yeah, but that's precisely what I shouldn't have to do.

I don't need to know that I have one more scrap of rough leather when I already have 200. There's no point except to be annoying.

Just ignore them. They'll go away by themselves after you log out and then log in again.

It would be nice to have some settings for them, such as toggling them on and off entirely, as well as some kind of timer that auto-clears them after a specified length of time.

It would be nice to have a way to turn those off.

Same with the mark showing there's something new in your collections, especially since those aren't grouped at the top like the items, you have to go through and click on each item individually to reassure the game you are aware you've unlocked a thing.

I agree you get used to ignoring them after a while, but I'd rather be able to disable the useless notification than just learn not to think about it.

I don't even see them. I guess you could call that "selective blindness"?
