I got yesterday 3 bgs in a roll with only 2 players in my team.

People are leaving the queue if the game is not what they want and we will have less players playing bgs because that.

What it boils down to is most people play all modes like deathmatch anyway so maybe they just need solo/group death matches. Population problem solved.

Ugh nah, I prefer the objective-based ones, and I’m sure I’m far from the only one. I have a harder time focusing in DM.

I’m torn about this decision. On the one hand, I’d like a choice, on the other hand now I won’t be tempted to forgo the better reward and learning opportunities by skipping the random and doing one I’m more comfortable with.

Yes, its crazy they dont allow us to pick the modes we wish to participate in...
Im amazed people in a MMO are wanting to avoid people having the ability to optimize their build.

I think this separation will work on PC EU as there are a lot players doing BGs. I dont know what is the situation on the other platforms but I guess that the console platforms will not be able to handle this.

The best option will be once all 12 players join, everyone votes what they won and based on the vote the randomization in weighted.

I have no issues playing the modes and they can be fun but only if all people play them. It is so annoying when you want to play some modes and some people just play as a deathmatch.
    Because I can!

I would pay real USD to never be placed in another deathmatch again. Only the objective based games are any fun.

No, we should not get to pick the modes we wish to participate in...

Different people, different wants.. I enjoy fighting like myself .. people who just come in for a casual by fight to maybe get a set page.. that joy goes right into the drain when I run into super min/maxed mofo and his team, who steamrolls everyone

I appreciate that and respect that. Thanks for the answer :)

Maybe a way to do something for all sides is to implement a "casual" or "rookie" queue option. However I will admit that will not fix the low population and slow pops and also some "classy" people who are very good would queue into it just to troll/roll people.

Realistically this can be achieved without getting people to vote once teams are formed. Just ask people when they're queuing.

But IMO weighted random is the solution. It's fair that if 50% of the population only wants deathmatch, 50% of the time that's what shows up.

I guess ZOS may merge some BG game modes, rework or delete some others, especially for pug BGs...

For example, ralic and crazy king aren't suitable for purely solo queue random pug groups. High level coordination is needed... I guess those game modes aren't designed for random groups.
No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.

    No, @Recapitated, that’s not realistic.

ZOS gave players their chance of selecting game mode type last patch.

    Players didn’t want that.

They preferred to have group queue reinstated instead.

So, here we are with the group queue reinstated.

Adding additional layers to the queue is not possible due to the BG player population.

Forcing people into modes they don't like causes them to drop out of matches, or even not to queue at all, which also reduces the population. Which is worse? They don't know. There's no statistical wizardry they can do to predict this. These are the kind of "behavioural changes" they just have to observe.

They don't know, and you know even less than they do, so I don't know why you insist on being their mouthpiece.

Why does it have to be either or? Just add both options, it''s really that simple. Idk where these guys came up with the claim that BG's was inactive, seriously. I was extremely active in bg's since 6-8 months ago almost always top 50 on charts with q times well under 10mins. Most q times were under 5 mins.

This whole idea that "bg will be inactiive if they split the players" is a bunch of chiberish and worse is people actually believe this. ZOS said so so it must be true. You know how many times they have been wrong about something? This time is not the exception. Sorry ZOS but i honestly dont think you guys play enough of your own game to have officially released parts of lilke... the past 3-4 major balance patches(werewolf crazy buffs, vampire litereally nerfed to oblivion).

I can't imagine that a company is this careless with their product but here we are. I mean, if their team just sat for 1 whole day and played the game, they would discover well over 10 severe game changing bugs that have been in the same condition for months or some issues even years(lag). This is embarrassing coming from a billion dollar company. Yes. Several billion.

Hate to always complain bout ZOS this and ZOS that but *** man... these bugs either accumulate or take literally months to get addressed. Pay attention to the community ZOS and most importantly take care of your product with more passion and dedication.

This past friday I was right on the brink of buying greymoor then i remembered " oh wait, they never fix bugs or address game breaking issues in a decent time frame". Thanks, but no thanks. I'll just invest my money elsewhere until they actually proof they care about their product.

Again im not trying to be toxic but maybe someone in their company reads this and realizes that some of us want the game to succeed and improve. Probably not cause forums admins have such bad habbits of muting sound advice and complaints despite them having validity. "lets censor everyone who doesn't fan-hop our game or talk positively about the company". God forbid someone speaks their mind with brutal honesty. You want people to speak positively about the game? That is earned. Address the bugs and the problems instead of creating more at such a rapid rate.
