Stam DK... I want to be good

Pretty much the title. I have been playing Stam DK as my main forever and I just dont feel that good. I dont want to be great I just want to be decent, I want to be good and I want to try harder content.
So I have tried several builds and I dont feel like Im getting anywhere. I see these builds and videos where Stam DKs are hitting 70,80,90k+ DPS and I struggle to get 30k. I currently am running Alcasts venom build minus perfected gear (no perfected relequens or Maelstrom Bow) but based on everything Ive looked at and read i should only lose a 2-5k dps not 60k. Today I ran 5x rele, 5x adv yokuda and 2x selene with nMA bow with CP set up just like alcast in venow build page and I hit 29k on a 6mil dummy. where am I going rong an how can II get better?

Kryser✭✭✭Use the 21 mil dummy. It has all the buffs and debuffs applied to it, thats how the youtube parses get up into the 90-110k range4 -

Back when loki set was king, the 21m was the good standard because on top of all the buffs, it gave synergies. The 21m could potentially mitigate the sustain issues, but the caveat is that you may not always be in a group that provides the kind of sustain the dummy will0 -

If you are in a trial group that doesn't provide you synergies it is time to ditch.4 -
MellowMagic✭✭✭✭Yeah 40k on a 6m dummy is around 75k dps on a 21m depending on the class available buffs and debuff ( fracture, minor brutality etc). If you're hitting 30k with fracture and brutality then I'd expect you to be around 55-60k dps on the 21m.0 -

Are you max CP? I hit 810 a month or two ago and the difficulty scaling was really bad from 700 to 810. I felt like I was doing way less damage than I should be doing. When I hit 810 the difficulty scaling stopped however and now my character can one-shot most standard enemies with a single 40k hit arrow and my dps is usually the highest in most of my groups.
If you are 810 look over your champion points. Poorly optimized champion points is usually the problem I find a lot of underperforming players are suffering from. For example, thanks to diminishing returns the last 20 points in a champion perk is wasteful. Only go to 80 tops and spend that 20 somewhere else. After that make sure you got all the most important major and minor buffs for your build. Then look at your rotation. If you're still under performing make sure you haven't gone all into crit, weapon damage, or penetration. You want a nice healthy balance of the three.

hexentb16_ESO✭✭✭✭Don't listen to any player who says any class isn't good or to choose another class over another. You can be the best with any class if you're cleaver enough.2

oscarovegren✭✭✭StamDK PVE DPS is pretty mehh unless you are using maelstrom DW with deadly strike and relequen. But that selfish and people may want you to sacrifice DPS by using stone giant instead as spammable0

Jolsyf✭✭✭Stam DK has been on the bottom of dps for some time, this latest patch helped stam wardens to get out of the same "bad" tier stamdk was ranked with, so rn its the "worst dps". I put " " because really if you hit good numbers (and 29k is a good one) it doesnt matter much since content will be easier as long as everyone pulls the same weight. Wish more people could pull the same dmg as you so don't get demotivated, if anything stamdk's are probably the next ones on line for a good buff since is well agreed on the community their "B" rank dps tier.1 -

If you are in a trial group that doesn't provide you synergies it is time to ditch.
If that was the case I dont think I'd ever be able to pug again, because sometimes I notice when sustain is all on me0
