Try adding marijuana to your eso experience, that should make it interesting

    It does indeed.
"So, drinking is a sacrament to Y'ffre... because it's his way of reminding us not to take things too seriously... You know how the other Elves are. Altmer have their crystal towers, and that's how they want to be — cold and perfect. And Dunmer are just like their Red Mountain — smouldering and dark. We just want to have a drink and not worry about it."

If you are getting bored of the game, making a different class wont help that much. It will be fun for a week or two and then you will get bored again.

What I suggest is: Give the game a break until you start missing the game. Sometimes that can be two days, a week, a month, it depends from person to person.

honestly taking breaks makes the whole experience muchore enjoyable than forcing yourself to play the game.

Alternatively, I'd try content you haven't already played, like PvP, normal Dungeons and trials, if you have dlcs try going for a different kind of quest, like Dark brotherhood and Thieves Guild questlines.

Achievement hunting is good, always find something to do.
I think you said you aren't that into pvp but I recommend trying the pvp zones and just not worrying about dying. Anyone new to pvp will have a few deaths unless they are seriously naturally talented, it's to be expected. I recommend them because there are some beautiful delves and towns with lots of interesting lore that you will otherwise miss. Even if you don't do any pvp it's worth a visit to check out the areas you may not have seen. The pvp itself can be fun. I don't do a lot but it makes a good change when I do.

I would suggest getting that dk to lvl 160, then trying a fresh role or class. Don't delete your dk, but I had the same thing happen when I was around your level. I stuck with the dk until I was about cp170, then tried a mag Templar. I fell in love with him, and I still main him years later. But I also still love my dks, and every other class. It can drastically freshen the game to try all kinds of content, roles, and classes, but there's rarely ever a reason to delete a character.

    Hmm. Mannimarco loves thread necros....

Not sure what to say about boredom. I'm not bored in this game at all. When I got bored (among other issues) with WoW and RIFT I quit playing them. I had seven accounts in WoW and five in RIFT, so when I quit both games lost a chunk of sub money.

I'm not bored with ESO. At all. When I get bored (or otherwise have issues with direction etc.) in ESO, I'll quit like I did the others.

For me, it's a.... "direction" perspective more than boredom in the long run.

The thread failed the first time as OP has not logged into the forums since March 1. I doubt resurrecting the thread over half a year later will bring any ideas that change their mind.

Don't use addons for skyshards, books and all the museum collectables and try to solve the clues to find them.

hi there, need some advice about boredom.
first of all, I gotta say I just love this game! and it's hard for me to stay away.

I'm in the game for the stories and the way everything looks(enough to say that I dont try to cancel animation) , pve not pvp. i've being playing mostly quests till I was lvl 50 (zone quests and some guilds)
and then I decided to grind my character (a magicka dragonknight)on dungeons, to reach cp 160, so I wouldn't need to worry anymore about leveling out of my gear's lvl and so I could craft peacefully.

I'm about cp 130 and the problem is that I'm kinda bored with the character now and it's abilities.

did anyone encounter that and have any tips?

I've worked too hard just to abandon my dragonknight and start over...

Make 17 chars..wont ever get boredome...trust me..tested atleast 5years:)would always be short on time to do what you want and trying all class/role combinations helps on encountering them in pvp

log in twice a day, once if possible to collect awards, play a diff game for a couple months! :-) I know that's probably not what you wanted but i've played since start and this is the only thing that has killed the boredom.

    ive tried;
    different builds
    different guilds
    different friends
    all roles in dungeons, etc.

it just gets ya...gotta get fresh, i had to try something different to appreciate eso.

There is always content left to do, there are soooo many zones.
As others have suggested, you could simply start a new character. Even if it is only to start horse-feeding/researching on, maybe for crafting dailies.

But if you really want to breathe new life into your existing character, I would say thiefing/killing works wonders. I have spend hours on some quests just to get them done without getting caught. Though thiefing isn't really tied to the questline, you can find them in the thieves guild/dark brotherhood DLC(hew's bane/gold coast). These are also things you can keep doing, due to the many daily quests those DLC's offer.

You could also find a new build for your dragonknight. That might work as well.

    @nookie14

There is no need to abandon your magdk. Start a new character, variety is the spice of life.

Perhaps go for something that plays different to magdk... there are plenty of options with magica and stamina variants of each class.

When you have multiple characters, you can switch between them as you wish, you may enjoy different characters for different content or at different times. It certainly helps me not get so bored.

Last night I took out my dedicated Warewolf for part of the evening, not played that character for months, it was great fun!

Some people seem to think OMG how do you have time for so many characters (I have 18), well its not about having time, Im not constantly trying to do everything on every character. I pick one to play at at time, obviously!

I got bored with my main, so after coming back after a couple months of inactivity, I spiced up his skillset with skills I hadn't used after maxing out (forgot how fun they were!), changed his clothes, even race changed him! That helps a lot with the new content I'm doing (Caldwell's silver).

Get over 160cp near 200cp and enjoy more complex content or play something else for a bit and comeback
