Your alts can never truly replicate what your main has done and been through. And sometimes I do regret my class decision.

Btw people will always play meta classes, token or not. If anything it would let the devs see which classes need changes.

they absolutely can. in fact i dont even have a main. need to tank? got a sorc and a dk. need magdps? i have literally every cclass lvld for mag and another one lvld for stam. play whatever i feel like.

i will say i wish eso and other mmos had the only redeeming quality of ffxiv, it's class system. one character able to be every class.

I don't mean that they're not fully leveled. I'm talking about every questline that you have to do all over from the beginning. Thats way too much to redo to get every wayshrine, quest points, and progress your main had.
That one khajiit obsessed with werewolf behemoth and vampire lord. Lady Thorn is bae, dont @ me.

I fully endorse this, and have been since day one.

Changing your race makes no sense whatsoever.

    Stop the alt economy.

    Let us change classes.

An account-wide achievement design is probably much more likely than a class change token. The reason is revenue.

Zos makes good revenue off many of the alt characters we roll. Many players buy special mounts, costumes, pets, and even homes for their alts. All of that is cold hard cash for Zos. Then there are the riding lessons, unlocking skill lines, and unlocking the sky shards, which all bring in even more significant revenue for Zos.

Look at the cost of just some of that, and it is easy to see such a token could easily be priced as the most expensive item in the crown store. As such, we would see the biggest cries of fowl every time Zos makes even the smallest adjustment to a class.

Oh, that brings up a second point, which is probably the smartest reason Zos would not offer a class change token.

Again, you can already skip redoing all these things with race and alliance change. How would a class change be different to those tokens?

I am just bringing up an obvious aspect of the business side of things. In the end, I do not really care. I do not care if Zos sells class change nor do I care if Zos never sells such an option. Interesting how you ignore the actual points made in what you quoted.

I will say that if you really want to play a different class than what you have now it would probably be significantly faster to roll that new character.

And I was just saying that the argument doesnt hold up considering we already have race and alliance change token.

While a class change would be a welcomed change Im not "waiting on it". I have ESO currently uninstalled and the game has several other issues, however a class change would definitly make me reinstall and check it out.

Class change is still not necessary. ZoS just needs to implement an Account Wide achievement summary, and your woes are fixed.

18 character slots provide room for pretty much every dedicated combination anyone could ask for. You only have to forfeit one, dual role, or respec if you want all four combo's. (Tank, Mag Heal/DPS, Stam Heal/DPS, PvP)

It baffles me someone wants the continuity of their character's achievements, while completely changing their character in the process.

Add an Account wide summary, with combined/max achievement point score, and you can pursue any achievement on any character you wish. Add a checkbox to show combined/separated by character, and it covers all the things above.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

All the reasons you quit the game would suddenly be erased by class change tokens?

    Really??

A bit far-fetched if you ask me ...

Definitely on board with class change tokens, I have time and money invested in a character I no longer enjoy due them not fulfilling the vision I had for them and want to try something different without losing the time and money I already invested in them

Thats literally not what I said. Read again. "Check it out" =/= "issues erased". To check something out isnt starting to play the game again. It just means that it would make me ... well ... check it out.

I would much rather prefer they made everything account bound,

    ^^^This would be a much better idea^^^
Having one single character that can do it all and change class at will? won't happen.
Class change will never happen, for the simple reason it would virtually eliminate the need for leveling alts, there would be zero motivation, except to use the alts as storage mules.

I'm not sure how it's baffling. The only thing I want changed about some of my characters, at this point, is their class. Not their names. Not their appearances (though I do make occasional small tweaks). And definitely not their alliances. And if I did want more than one of these things changed at once, at that point I would just delete one and make another.

But take one of my Khajiit characters, for instance. From a roleplay/backstory standpoint, she was always meant to have a connection to shadows. Born under the Shadow sign, able to hide within them and use them for offensive purposes, etc. So you'd think Nightblade fits best, right? Well, at the time, I already had a Khajiit Nightblade. And I didn't want to have a repeat race/class combo, so I decided to make my Shadow-born Khajiit a Sorcerer instead, feeling as though it was the next best fit (this was back in 2016, for the record).

Well, I deleted that Khajiit NB a couple years back, replaced it with other characters. And by the time I started to feel as though Sorcerer really just wasn't suiting my Shadow-born Khajiit thematically anymore, I had already leveled her up to CP, gotten a ton of PvP achievements, leveled up some pretty lengthy skill trees, made some minor appearance tweaks with tokens, etc. And at that point I was just too invested.

So I wouldn't in any way be "completely changing" that character by changing her class from Sorc to NB. That's why character continuity is important to me. Because I have several characters exactly like that: their initial backstories have stayed pretty the same, but the classes they were forced into because of my class/character arrangements at the time no longer fit them thematically. They were made at a time when I didn't really factor class identities into the backstories of all my characters. But now that I do, it's glaringly obvious which ones just don't fit with the backstory anymore.
