I just got this yesterday when I noticed that I had the leads gathered.. I wanted to try it out on my azure blight/venomous serpent set, but noticed that I can't use crust.. So now I wonder, what are some good sets to use with this thing in PvE.? Just pure weapon damage?

In PvE?

None, because crit is too important.

It is a mythic that only shines in PvP. Even losing the crit bonus of LA/MA is worth it.

Edit: if you want to try something anyway, why not use some proc sets that don't have crit damage bonusses?

You could see how you like using it with Unleashed Terror, SunderFlame, and sets like that. Sets with already high damage tooltips that Malacath would increase a little. DOT damage is important for dps in PVE. Malacath can come in use then

The only thing I've found Malacath to be good for in PVE is quickly clearing trash mobs. With vMA 2-hander and Unleashed Terror, you can charge into trash in public dungeons and they'll all die from the DOTs when you have Malacath.

It's not bad for grinding XP/Tel Var but that's about it.

In an Raid environmet Malakath is trash. Because there are so many crit/critdmg modifiers and mobs don't wear critresis. Even for overland or dungeons i woulden't wear it, because that, you can do nacked mith ease.
