Double drops from Resource nodes enables in Western Skyrim

Either double drops from resource nodes are happening in Western Skyrim right now, or I am having the most spectacular luck imaginable with my Master Gatherer passive.

    Bug confirmed for me on PC/EU. Double resource node drops.
    Update (Nov 3): this is still happening for me on PC/NA too.
    Update (Nov 4): Still happening on PC/EU today, not fixed by this morning's patch/maintenance.

    I just made a quick trip into Western Skyrim on PC/EU to check on the status of this issue. Resource node drops are doubled in the whole of Tamriel due to the current special event, but NOT doubled further due to the bug. That said, let's see if this is fixed in Monday's patch or not.

    @athena9205 Survey node drops are never doubled by special events, only by the "Plentiful Harvest" passive in the Lover CP tree.

    The Western Skyrim double node drops was apparently fixed in today's patch v6.2.6 on PC: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/553007/pc-mac-patch-notes-v6-2-6
