Why there isnt a settingoption to cast heals to yourself, when you reached a "mimimum value"

Sometimes it feels really bad to play a class and your heals heal other random targets and you die in same moment (In PvP i had this several times)..
Why there isnt a settingoption to cast heals to yourself, when you reached a mimimum value % of your choose in life?
That would really help, that i have more influence how my heals work on the target of my choose.
I hope you agree with this!

✭✭✭✭✭There is a setting that is built into the game and cannot be changed. "Smart" heals go to the target most in need, the lowest health in the area (by % of total health iirc). If that is you then you get healed.
Essentially, you need to also use a Magicka based shield as well. Also, November 16 the number of a possible target for your heals shrink considerably as you will only be able to heal those you are grouped with. You will not be able to heal that ally two meters from you that is about to die.
Oh, and you need to be grouped to heal anyone but yourself.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭@idk I know that the skill Barrier and sets like Winter's Respite and Earthgore have been changed from help nearby allies to only helping group members. And my healer's been jettisoning those skills/sets as they do so. I'm not familiar with an upcoming change Nov 16 that might actually render healers completely useless unless grouped though - resto staves and all? Could you enlighten me please as, though I generally try to keep up, I may have missed an upcoming change?PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo0 -

Sure thing! It is very easy to miss, especially as they put it in the Alliance War category and omitted it from the patch notes for Markarth (to the best of my knowledge).0 -

Why is this even a thing. I would get the question in a game like WoW where it's targetted heals, but here...really have we become that, lack of a better term lazy? Everything is non target. Extended Ritual is like a 25 m diameter circle. It HoT enough that you will fully heal just trying to get it out of it.
Rapid Regen...can't be targetted...Breath of Life huge heal no targetting... I really just don't get this request.
Sure if you say while soloing but then you have to get rid of all the massive self healing, which should be done anyway to make healing and tanking relevant again. Every class has some way to basically go from 0 to full health without a potion.0 -

This should be just optional for players like me, which wanna also play solo!
With soloplaying i dont want to hold too much attention at other players, which are allready unable to hold there %life high enough. Instead of healing myself it can be a risk in tough bossfights or PvP, when other player interact with...

✭✭✭✭✭I feel as though healing abilities should have one obvious "group" morph that uses Smart Healing and one obvious "selfish" morph that only works on you.
Because, you are totally right, few things feel worse than casting Rapid Regen when you're low on health and seeing it snaked by some random instead.
It would also make the morphs far easier to balance.3 -

pihlaja✭✭✭I actually feel that there might be a bug in how healing targets are picked in pvp. I’ve had the same issue so many times that I had to change rapid regen to radiating for better odds, because every single time I was near the group in Cyrodiil, the heal would target someone else than me even when under 10-15% health, despite them being nearly full heath. This is especially annoying when I’m not even a healer, but a mag dd (magblade) with a resto back bar... Haven’t tested this during the last 2-3 weeks.
