Is there any reason to run a healer in Cyrodiil anymore?

Most classes have a decent self-heal, and with the Maraketh expansion, party size in Cyrodill is limited to 12. Heals do not affect anyone outside the party, so no healing green bars.

Is there any reason for having a healer in Cyrodiil?

Do you run in Cyrodiil? I've played every day for the last six years, and over that time I've watched dps get better and better and self-heals. I run with a 12-man ball group on the EU server that has no healer half the time and they do fine, because of the self heals and tankiness that ZOS nerfs and buffs have brought over the years.

If you really need a healer in a 12-man group, you might want to rethink your build.

LOLWUT? Even Toxic Toads (one of the best balls on PC EU) run with healers. And they're always 8-10. So don't give me this nonsense about how there's no place for a healer in 12-man group.

I understand the metas on different platforms are different. You should know the top 12 man guilds on PC/NA all have dedicated healers to my knowledge.

I didn't say we don't run with a healer. Just said it's not entirely necessary. Combat prayer is a nice little buff, and mutagen is still a decent hot. But honestly, healers have become less and less relevant in Cyrodiil. This latest patch convinced me that it's time to cancel eso +.

It's the Proc Set meta, @Deedleqwerty ... why would you think healers are all of a sudden not needed?

Play Non-cp PvP. There you will see what a great impact a healer can have. Especially in small-scale.
I tried alot of different healers. But I enjoy warden healer the most especially with snow treaders on.

I agree on cp healing tho. Everyone is tanky enough In co PvP so you don't really need healers there

I'm confused. You post a thread asking if people still think healers are necessary, but then at every turn keep saying you don't need them so not really sure what the point is. Can you get by without healers, yes, as you say, self healing and tankiness. Can a group take advantage of having a healer though and do better. Of course, it's just a matter of how your groups set up, builds, ect..

I will say if you have people who are newer or unfamiliar with group tactics then a healer can be a life saver especially now that 12 is the limit as it doesn't leave much room for people to tag along and learn (Thanks ZOS)

I run a healer about half the time in my small group guild.
