How to reset Vateshran/What is the cooldown

I let it sit overnight cause after running through it once realized the way it's set up doesn't allow you to earn the achievement that awards the Dye in one go. I still needed to find the secret boss in the Brimstone wing and the Essences in that and the Wounding wings. So today I thought, do EWounding first to get the portals working then do Brimstone. Only realizing after accepting the quest and entering Wounding that I needed the grapple from The Hircine wing to get the Essences in Wounding.

Abandoned the quest and left. Even reset my group difficulty but traveling back in the Arena kept the Wounding portal locked open.

How long is this gonna take me making stupid mistakes like this.

For me, it took a few minutes, but I was playing a different character at the time - I abandoned the quest and went out to another zone, then I swapped to another character and did a few things for about 15 minutes or so, and then by the time I came back it was ready.

I didn't see the quest marker arrow, but I was able to start the quest and go as normal.

It was about 10 minutes for me.

I logged to a few other characters, did writs, and it was ready to go again.

I also did some of the side achievements on normal (the ones that could be done) and saved the veteran ones for vet, which allowed it to reset as well.

Maelstrom takes 5 minutes to reset, I'd guess it's the same.

I port out, abandon quest, toggle mode, and wait 5 minutes for the reset.

Okay it seems it is just a couple minutes. Thanks for answering! This new arena isn't so bad at all, already have a couple interesting weapons just from running Normal. Much better experience than Maelstrom.

Also dat Void Pitch black. Its, okay but it has a quirk. Theres a blue shine to it on certain materials. It's not a matte black.

I believe it is about 5 minutes, assuming you drop quest and leave instance. You dont even need to toggle the difficulty as far as I can tell. I usually just port out, drop quest, do writs on two other toons, and then it's reset. Same with VMA.

Funny, I was noticing almost a red shine on it with my character. It is definitely very dark, but if you want a a really good matte black, Legates is still the way to go. I use legates black on a lot of my characters. I havent tried them all, but I still prefer Legates over Void Pitch on the ones I tested. Actually glad this is the case. Legates is hard to get. Void Pitch takes a few hours.

As for the Dye on a magic character, basically it takes 1.5 runs. Green, Blue, Red (assuming you kill all bosses and get all essences in blue and Red). Then reset, clear red, then do basically half of green. The path to the green essence is lava. It's really long. Slap on ring of the hunt, and just run back and forth. Took me about 15 minutes. Then do the same thing with a grappling hook, just pace back and forth. Kill mini boss, and get all green essences (on my run, the 5th one was on the last ledge right before the final boss). No need to even finish the green stage the second time if you dont want.
