What's the point of renaming your house if the new name only shows in the collections tab?

I finally thought of a new name for the Antiquarian's house just to discover that the new name only shows up under the original name in the collections tab. What is the point of that?
I realize they can't make it so everyone would see the new name when looking at it's icon on the map, but couldn't they make it so the owner can? And guests when they are actually inside the home?
I am very sad that I came up with a name for the lodge I turned this into, Silver Light Lodge, but I can't even see it. :I

I never renamed mine so there is some generic name in quotes in addition to the old name.
