Lower the exp for leveling both level and your skill levels

Hi everyone!

I have a feeling I will be flamed/hated/tar and feathered for this, but here goes.

I love this game. It's awesome! Bugs, sure, but they are getting fixed!

Something that does surprise me is how much experience you get for certain things. (Not all).
Of course, doing something major, as a long quest line, really good skillup on tradeskills, exploring and finding something special....you get the idea.

There is level 50ies ALREADY?! I understand a few at level 50. That's fine. There will always be people who are so good, or play like machines (perfectly legal).

I would like to lower the exp gained from pretty much everything.

Why? First of all, this game is outstanding for every single level, tradeskill or whatever. Level 50, with max veteran points is NOT the whole game!

Even the first instanced dungeon "Grotto" is outstanding! Teamwork, tactics, skill and pure damn luck is how you champion this dungeon, and I hope ALL instanced dungeons are simular.

The game really offers a world for every level. Sure, you are stronger at lvl 25 then 20. That's fine. But I think the speed you gain experience and levels should be cut down. Simply so gaining that level means so much more!

Though! So far, exp isn't flowing in like in other games. Good! But can we make it less exp? So the world is populated with so many different builds, races, people, stuff we have not even seen yet?

Of course everyone should be able to reach level 50, and start to work on their veteran "levels". I have heard that these veteran levels goes slow. GOOD, keep it that way.

The game gets EVEN more fun when your level 37, whom you been playing a lot are able to join a team with someone level 41!!!! WOW!

And in due time, there will be heroes at max level, working on their veteran skills. These heroes might be you some day and maybe, you even get to do "hardcore" things. However.....unless we want a flood of level 50ies who still havn't learned the build properly, because they rushed to max level and simply do not know how powerful they can be, both alone and in a team, we need to slow down the exp given.

There was a feeling you got in Everquest, when you saw someone at level 50.....you where almost in Awe!

Instead of needing to be lucky to get someone at level 50 who knows how to play, you are almost garanteed that most high levelers are good, simply because it takes time to get there.

When every level actually means advancement and a personal achievement, then this game will have a lot of long-term players. Not just those who rush to 50, whines, stops and goes back to WoW.

Well I think they do need to smooth out the XP curve a bit. Grinding can get you to 50 in a couple days right now.

I think it's fine for people who don't want to quest to be able to grind to 50, but with so many doing it so quickly, it's obvious it's just too quick and easy.

As long as the leveling scales to how fast you're going through the content (and right now it does pretty well), they can do whatever they want with the xp rate as far as I'm concerned. I'm really not even paying attention to character level in this game, precisely because I'm not racing to 50. I'm enjoying the content.

I'm not going to flame/lash/tar and feather but I will disagree. Simply on the bases of how the zones are set up. If you did all the exploration, quests and achievements for a previous zone you should be the perfect level to go to the next. Yes I have a VR1, but VR1 only. If you were to reduce xp gained form quests and exploration it would require more mob grinding (which can be tedious to some, not saying I didn't do it, if I had about 8% to level I would actually grind it out before going on another quest). A lot of people don't like grinding as it can burn you out if you don't enjoy it. The only other thing would be reduce quest xp but add more quests in zone. It does take a while to get to 50, but I've had a lot of free time lol. But in all honesty to get up to 50 fast I felt a lot of it was time management and having previous MMO experience taught me how to maximize quest grinding effectively.
