[Discussion/ Request] Item sets without a combat focus.

Probably a strange request, but i was thinking:

It would be nice to have (Crafted) item sets which focus on "crafting", or "Miscellaneous" tasks, available within the world of ESO.
There is a lot to do in ESO, and there might be other people (besides me) that aren't really combat oriented, but more in favour of quests, crafting, or exploration.

For people like us, having equipment which gives bonuses for our specific playstyle would be appreciated.

Think about bonuses like:
- Increase harvested materials (percentage/ chance based).
- Increase crafted potions/ poisons.
- Decrease resource use when crafting.
- Increase pickpocket chance.
- Increase haggling prices.
- Increase damage against quest objectives/ bosses. (PvP excluded, i know of bounty quests).
- Increase movement speed.
- Decrease aggression radius of hostile monsters.
- Better refining chances.
- Movement Speed increase.
- Detection radius decrease.

Of course, depending on the bonuses, these items should carry a negative bonus as well, to specify their use for non-combat characters over combat focused characters.
The reason i suggest it being crafted sets is to not pigeonhole them behind combat.

And, i was wondering what other people might be thinking about this?

Increase crafted potions/poisons is already skill point driven as is decreasing resource use when crafting - at least for some improvement mats (and effectively likewise on deconstruction), plus some influence in cp points.

Pickpocket chance is craftable potions (invisibility)

Damage covers most of the existing sets so I'm not sure what you mean - even for a crafting char the generic overland mobs are not exactly nasty

Movement speed is stuff like cowards gear (battlegrounds or buy from guild stores - and if you are a crafter you should be rolling in gold). Ring of the wild hunt is scrying. Also some boosts from armour passives.

Decrease aggression radius sounds the same as detection radius given armour sets that let you move normal speed when stealthing.

Detection radius sets are dirt cheap on the guild store and stack. A Khajiit with the right mix is basically invisible. Even if you swap one out to get movement speed your detection radius is tiny.

Except for prices (which would be hard given the only things worth buying are usually in guild stores so other players) I don't see what is missing that you can't just do a bit of shopping for, or tackle another way.

All of these are already implemented into skillines or sets. Increasing money maker mechanics via gear will create bots and exploits. Invigorating gave an % increase for gold once upon a time.

What i would like is an out of combat mobility skilline/ gear. Something that only works in overland and outside of towns (no dungeon/trial/pvp).
    - A placable teleport
    - bigger jump (somthing like getting hit by mages guild rune just a little forward)
    - a teleport to friendly npcs (better then natures grasp)
    - free camera and movement in housing (spectral builder or something like that to make it lore friendly)
class representative for the working class, non-cp, bwb and Trolling

Once upon a time there was a trait. Called prosperous.
hSHortly after making myself a full set of gold prosperous gear with the intent to quest hard in the game as an imperial, ZOS decided too get rid of the prosperous trait.
    RIP me.

There is already movement speed gear, sneak gear May even be pickpocket gear.
Any sort of gear around crafting or haggling will just be more of an annoyance than it is worth, putting on and taken off ect.

Warden has this for some cases and you can do fun things with it when two handing stuff.

It's weird that you listed movement speed increase twice while there are already sets in the game that do that, with Ring of the Wild Hunt being the best one

The problem with your suggestion is that it would lead to the following:

    1. Create gear for optimal crafting.

    2. Script to switch in and out of it (and no, you can´t really prevent this realistically).

    3. Everyone uses this, screwing the economy and kind of negating the purpose in the first place.

I like how you think but I don´t think gear is the way about it. I would like to see a redone Champion System with passive skills you had to choose from and couldn´t just switch back and forth from on a whim. But the problem with saying you should have either combat or crafting bonuses is that combat will just win out since the entire game is about combat.

Better IMO to put in better skills for crafting specifically, other than the ones we already have and which are largely point-dumps at this point to be honest.

More than gear to help, I would like the Master Angler achievement to give a bonus to filleting fish, and possibly removing the chance of ever catching another "rare" fish (Psijic satchels are fine), as they simply waste my time and clutter my inventory now.

Agree, but the set must be called "Potato´s Perilous Progress".

Yes, uses ring of the wild hunt on overland builds.

This reminds me of crafting gear in SKyrim, in short you made gear who made you craft better items, downside with this and playing in first person was that you forget to switch back then going out.

Kind of healing in sneak gear in ESO. Did not bother changing the bar so did not see I was in wrong gear.
Yes noticed something was wrong and switched but.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I know it isnt what OP meant, but I would really love to just be able to craft cosmetic items for my character to wear. Even if they didnt necessarily compete with Crown stuff, I don't see why I can create magicka imbued armor for war and not a simple costume dress lol.
