Curious why this might happen. I wasn't even typing. Any thoughts?

I think it happens when there is lag. It's not necessarily typing but when you try to interact with something multiple times like a merchant or a door but it doesn't work so you just keep pressing E and when the lag spike drops all those interaction messages are sent at once and it kicks you. Just my experience when I have received this same error message before.

Yes, that's it. And lucky me, since I have satellite (only connection available) my own not inconsiderable ping means I never have that happen to me.

Was happening to me for a while before I could even interact with the game. If there is a wonky connection between you and the game the same input to the server happens over and over causing the game to think you are spamming. Doesn't have anything to do with messaging. ZoS needs to change that error message so it is more accurate in describing the problem.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Always happy to meet another "back of beyond-er". We aren't really that far out, but there is NO COVID in our tiny town....

Not to hijack the thread or anything but how tiny? I am in a town of about 600 people and the nearest fast food place is over 70 miles away. Nearest Starbucks is at least a good two hour drive one way.

Less than 200 full time residents. We're an 80 mile round trip to the nearest "real town", a 140 mile round trip from the town we'd rather shop in, and the "nearest grocery, plus my bank, and a hardware store" is a 40 mile round trip.

We have the cleanest air and water, and the cheapest power, in the lower 48. I'm 300 some miles from a HUGE metroplex, and 170 miles from another one. I'm perfectly happy to be here just right now.
