Crystal fragments as a spammable?

At this point it might actually not be a bad idea. It procs from itself cost is not too high, and it reduces the cost of your next ability which sorc really needs.

Looks extremely nooby because spamming blast/shard has always been the hallmark of a bad sorc, but maybe now it's no longer the case.

Did I miss a nerf? Why not ele weapon / pulse? They proc frags too and don't have a cast time.

Na mate, at least for PvP it is trash. Exact same damage as Snipe with half the range/interruptible without the defile. Maybe semi-viable for the odd magsorc ganker. For other non-glass builds, the damage is simply not there, cause unlike Snipers, who are all damage, you don't have Cloak for running away and to force the initial crit. Plus the cast time means, you will have less procs in the first place.

In pvp for sure. the cast time though has minimal impact on how many casts you actually get off though, if by weaving perfectly you would get a ratio of 1 la a sec, with this skill you get about 0.9.

Honestly to make this skill even better i would just remove the cast time, and keep the proc. It's a bit weird to weave but the damage is definitely there.

You didn;t miss anything, they just made fragments more viable as a spammable.

The dmg is not horrible, but still much worse, comparable with crushing shock (sorc lacks cleave, so better just run force pulse in most encounters). sustain is much better though. But most important, it is just not fun (in my opinion). I prefer going heavy attack build on sorc than frag spam.

It's not worse i assure you, it's just awkward to use.

Because it's both a cast time and a instant, i think they should just make it instant and keep the proc, obviously the proc damage and spam damage would have to be adjusted.

The biggest problem is the cast time though, really awkward to deal with.

If they remove cast time and a bit of the dmg, I might be game (changing my single target setup to frags+execute instead of ele weap frags) Currently I don't feel like playing though. Too many bugs.

Frag spammable build lacks cleave dmg (though it's not a huge deal, cleave component of force pulse isn't that big). Bigger problem is the cast time which makes it annoying in fights where you need to do quick blocks (vHoF last boss for example). Barswapping, using potions and using synergies are all awkward when your spammable has a cast time. It's the only disadvantage in my opinion.

Single target dmg wise it was only 4k dps behind a standard rotation (ele weapon as spammable). Both were 85k+ dps on raid dummy (before markath).

Honestly, i actually did more dps, because i could slot another ability. But it's really awkward to use.
