    I personally would not buy gear at the moment. On PC set item costs are increasing alot due to the new Item Set Collection system, and by farming the gear yourself you will get gear to decon/learn traits/extra gold/more XP to increase your CP level.

    *** Head - Hat of a Mother’s Sorrow (Purple)-Invigorating
    ** Chest - Robe of a Mother’s Sorrow (Purple)-well-fitted
    *** Shoulders - Epaulets of a Mother’s Sorrow (Purple)-divines
    Waist - Sash of Necropotence (Purple)-divines
    * Hands - Gloves of Necropotence (Purple)-impenetrable
    Legs - Breeches of a Mother’s Sorrow (Purple)-infused
    * Feet - Shoes of Necropotence (Purple)-well-fitted
    Neck - Necklace of Mother’s Sorrow (Purple)-arcane
    Ring1 - Ring of Necropotence (Purple)-arcane
    Ring2 - Ring of Necropotence (Purple)-arcane
    Weapon 1 - Inferno Staff of Mother's Sorrow
    Weapon 2 - Lightning Staff of Mother's Sorrow

    So I would suggest a plan with:
    *** Replace with Armour of the Trainee or Queen's Elegance
    ** Farm for Infused or divines
    * Farm for divines

    If you are upgrading gear there is a good way to check if it needs enchanting again.

    Let's say you are looking at purple armour which you probably want enchanting with a purple glyph of magica. Get one purple armour glyph of magica and from your inventory screen - right click each piece of armour selecting enchant. Stop when you have selected the glyph and you will see the effects of the enchant - current and re-enchanted. If it's the same power do not bother enchanting it and check your other pieces.

    That's on PC and I assume it's the same on PS4.

    Have fun.

    Investing in the Lockpicking passives helps out big time. With maxed out passives all I do is force the lock instead of sitting there fiddling with it. To level the Legerdemain line all you need to do is steal and fence things. Another tip is to turn off vibration on your controller. It actually distracted me while I was lockpicking. I failed with it on more often than I did with it off.

    Thank you for that tip! I’ve started stealing apples, etc. But my Legerdemain is still at 1. When I started the thief quest my second quest was to kill an innocent. I refused to do that and deleted the quest. I guess I’ll have to start it again☹️

    Hello
    I quite agree with you - no killing innocents for me aswell.

    To be truthful I have completed all of the Thieves Guild quest line on one alt (out of over 30 alts), but really did not like the pickpocketing etc. Never done the Dark Brotherhood quests. That's me - other players feel differently as they will say it's just a game?

    Easy way to level Legerdemain is to STEAL apples. Go to Craglorn - Belkarth, south out the town is a big lake near the Thieves Guild den. Admire the views - it's quite pretty. All around the Orchard there are boxes of apples - stealth and steal. Suggest just the apples as they stack nicely and respawn quickly. Check the barrels/crates to see if there are some green or blue items to steal. There's plenty of resources nodes on the lake shore aswell.

    When you have a few hundred pop over to the Thieves den. At level 1 I seem to remember you can sell/launder only 50 of each. Higher value items give more XP for legerdemain. Come back the next day and repeat.

    Lockpicking Treasure Chests anywhere also increases your Legerdemain Skill. That's why most of my CP alts are at Legerdemain rank 20.

    Are you still having problems lockpicking chests? It's really quite straightforward once you have practiced.

    Have fun and take care.

    Great idea! I started stealing everything I could get my hands on and went to the fence only to find out that I could only fence 50/day. I didn’t know if it was 50 stacks of items or 50 items in total. But anyway, I got to legerdemain 2 🙂

    I’ll try Belkarth as you say. It is a very nice area. I’m going to feel like Johnny Appleseed in reverse 😂

    Oh, and yes to the problems with lock picking. I’m almost thru the lock when either the timer runs out or the pick breaks 🤬. So I bought 100 lock picks to keep trying. I’m determined to get it.
