Was browsing an unofficial Facebook group dedicated to The Elder Scrolls Online for PS4. There was a comment from a user who insisted that Markarth: Update 28 will be the final dlc for TESO, ever. The user commented that this claim came from an official Twitch livestream. Others asked if the user meant the last dlc of the year or the last for the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline but the user continued to insist the last DLC update ever. This user claimed the reason was because the team was working on the “new” game. Whatever that means. Hopefully someone here can clear this up and I can report back to the fb group with some positive news.

It was just a troll... Oblivion is a new chapter with many datamines.

There are always new games in development.

We won't hear officially about what's coming for a bit, but we've got strong in game hints and datamines saying we're headed back to the Imperial heartland, Colovia.

If you need a fancy asset to show off on Facebook, here's the datamined models for Mehrunes Dagon: https://esomodelviewer.com/data-mining/post/7-update-6-2-0-markarth-dlc-mehrunes-dagon-and-harbingers

He may have just been confused as this is the last dlc of the year long story...
The population still swells every year and with so much already datamined for the next chapter, we are far from done 👍

Wait, you believed something that was posted on Facebook? Seriously?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

No, but I did want clarification to show those who do believe. Ive learned that sometimes things said in livestreams don’t get translated to the forums, just like the Microsoft bombshell that was never mentioned in stream.

Facebook ? That online mental asylum they laughingly call social media ? . I'd take no notice of anything you read there especially from unofficial sources.

You see the same thing on some games daily, trolls spewing out that the game is dying and years later the game is still there. These games may just be a game to the players but they are big cash earning businesses that are not going to go away as long as they make the huge profits they do make.

They continue to invest in the business by adding new content to try and keep their customers playing and encourage new players, and I'm sure they will be here doing that for a long time yet.
