Multiple issues during Witches Festival. Can you please extend the event?

As mentioned in the title, there have been multiple issues plaguing the Witches Festival. From vendors not being findable for hours to drops not happening, too much lag, and now down time. I only had 2.5 hours to play the other day. It took that entire time jumping from area to area and instance to instance, just to find an event merchant to turn in my tickets. I had no time left to get any skull drops or level. Not all of us were so lucky to find one quickly and some players never did find one. Gaming shouldn't be frustrating like this. Events should be functioning correctly. Servers should be stable. Performance should be at least decent. We're willing to look past some minor issues, but please meet uis halfway here. Can we have an extension please?

I agree. Multiple times the vendor NPCs were just POOF GONE! On top of the extended downtime today and being a monday, my allocated play time is VERY limited and could potentially miss todays tickets because of it!

I'm not an IT expert, but couldn't they just temporarily remove the 12 tickets cap until the issue is resolved? If I was the decision maker at ZOS, this is what I would do immediately after hearing about it, and then work on resolving whatever is the cause (which I assume does not have an easy solution or it would be done already. Might be wrong).

That was my thought too. It seems like such an easy fix.

It would be wonderful if they would keep it that way after too. The cap is frustrating.

Please extend the event. It's been impossibly broken this year.

Yes. they probably could've temporarily removed or raised the cap but they didn't. It's too late to do it now unless they extend the event. Players have already lost the tickets, because they couldn't turn them in to the event merchant. It's usually one of the more fun events for old and new players, but it was just too broke to really get much from it this year.

The 2 times it happened where the NPC didn't show up, I just logged out near the tent, then logged back in. This appears to "force" the NPC to show up, because the game prioritizes the objects that are closer to your character. Worked both times flawlessly.

While I agree it's not ideal for there to be any issues, with such a simple solution, it doesn't require them to extend the event, etc.

They also ended the event tomorrow morning, instead of today, because of the patch update, as they knew it would be a long day.

Relogging did not function for everyone. Some players didn't get the merchant to show up at all on some days. Other days it could take a couple hours just to find one after multiple relogs and instance jumps. So it was far from ideal. It was broken for some players.

I tried that and unfortunately, it doesn't always work. It's probably working for some because they happen to get put into an instance that the Impressario is in. Since I play off-peak hours, any time I relogged to completely logging my account out and then back in, it didn't work. I was doing that for about 25 minutes until someone in a guild happenstanced on an instance that the Impressario showed up, all the way out in Northern Elsweyr. So while it works for some, it's not actually what might be happening as it's not forcing the NPC to show up. It's just probably putting you in a different instance than you were in from before you relogged. That's what makes the most sense out of all of that.

    This ^.

    With
    1) The vendor being unavailable for a quarter of the event now
    2) Players losing out on tickets as a result of that combined with the cap on held tickets
The event certainly should in theory be extended four more days to make up for the issues at hand. Unfortunately even if they were to extend the event, there is no guarantee that the NPC would be working any better than it is now - most likely there is some issue back end that they will hopefully have time to resolve prior to the start of the next event.

I usually think the requests to extend events are excessive, but this time it's absolutely appropriate. I lost two days worth of tickets, and I know many others did as well. (Not to mention how many hours of my life I wasted trying to jump from instance to instance, all in vain.) I'm guessing I'll probably be out of luck again today, too.

It will be outrageous if they don't do something to make up for this snafu. Although, there's no point extending the event if they don't actually fix the problem first. Otherwise it will just be an extra day or two of frustration.
