This, note that you are not getting the tempers back so gold gear and purple jewelry is wort collecting.SeaGtGruff wrote: »I'll probably bind and keep the best version I have of each set piece, and deconstruct all of the other versions, so I won't need to reconstruct as much if I ever decide to use a particular set on a particular character-- but even so, getting rid of several dozen copies of things will still be a blessing.
I honestly don't know why I've kept so many copies anyway, other than I decided to start collecting sets after I got ESO+ and had so much free space available again.
Presumably an alternative to deconstructing everything might be to sell unbound BOE gear we don't want to keep, since some players will probably be eager to complete each set in their stickerbooks to minimize the cost of reconstructing a given set. But the market will probably be flooded, and most BOE gear is probably easy to acquire in the game, so selling the gear might not be very lucrative. The mats recovered by deconstructing the gear might be worth more than the gear itself!

Is there going to be a "catch" like there was with jewel crafting where we could not deconstruct gear already in our inventory?
Any idea how it works for items in your bank or storage chests? Is opening the bank or storage chest enough for the system to scan it? Or do we have to take these items to character inventory for them to count?Alts’ inventories are only added when you log on to them the first time, since the game can’t read those inventories until then.
