I cannot emphasize enough how frustrating it is to have spent hundreds of real life, hard earned dollars on homes that are now a near guaranteed crash (and none of which are at furnishing limit). And when the character crashes at my home, I have to restart my entire xbox, log onto a different character, THEN attempt to retrieve the character marooned at the trap of a home, only for my game to usually crash again anyway. After which point I may be locked out of the character for up to half an hour. I am intensely frustrated with this, as it also applies to friends' houses as well. Please look into a solution for these absurd crashes, Zenimax. Something has got to be done about this.

I crashed twice today on PCNA. My GF was stuck in a pillar in a dungeon after being feared by a mob. It feared her into the dungeon. /stuck did not work, relogging did not work, teleporting to a player inside the dungeon did not work. She had to teleport to a house, then teleport to one of us in the dungeon, then run back.
Later on, we were in a party. I was sitting down playing the esraj, her game froze. I got up from playing the esraj, the music continued to play. I logged out, the very second I logged, her game unfroze.
This game seems to be getting worse by the week in regards to stability. [snip]

It would honestly be comical if I weren't so invested in this game, but as it is, it's infuriating to see things like what you described in a game of this caliber. Unbelievable.

I know what you mean. I have spent more on ESO than any game in the entirety of my time playing games (since around the mid 1970's).
I do think about the sunk cost fallacy at times. I play because of my heavy investment, but that causes me to invest more. Is it really worth it? At the end of the day, I say no. The game is a love hate balance. I love my characters, I hate the combat. I love my houses, I hate that they feel boring and empty even when filled with stuff. I end up playing for 2,3 up to 6 months at a time before I say enough. Then I come back because of housing. Housing alone draws me back to ESO.
But what bothers me the most is the stuff like I talked about in my earlier post and things like the mail system. Honestly, I don't understand for the life of me why ZOS refuses to fix the mail system. I mean the most basic of features that has been bugged for what? 6 years now? Truth be told, I know why, I just cant talk about it.
Anyway, as with all things, actions speak louder than words.

I have never played an MMO on servers this bad.
Tons of Disconnects. Followed by having to force quit the game because it becomes unresponsive.
Massive amounts of failed logins.
EQ over Dialup for 500% more reliable, and that isn't even an exaggeration.

For what it's worth, I've been doing overland (Cadwell's Silver & delves, dolmens, public dungeons and wb &cet.) w my new char and for me the game has been remarkably stable. Main annoyance is the usual skills and bar swap trigger bingo. And the slowmountwithoutrapids. PCEU.

Unplayble. Middle of the night. All but one addon off. Rivenspire. Pve.
As a 'subject' of the pvp tests, this sort of thing makes it totally unbelievable to blame players for server performance.
My computer's speed test: Ping 3. Download 899.41 Upload 483.22 New Zealand
In game shot from ESO: FPS 70 Latency 999+
FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR OF CRASHING

I would consider that irrelevant to the thread at hand. Basic overworld *usually* doesn't present many obstacles performance wise, but anything more than that, and the crippling problems begin to arise quickly.

Performance sucks in overland too but crashing is very rare in for me. Of course for overland being as easy as it is having to pray Sithis for skills/bar swaps is mostly just an annoyance but can be crippling in world boss fights with few random questers. (I can solo easy normal dungeon but have not yet soloed the few wb I've tried with my current new char, still levelling skills.)
I'd expect consoles crashing in housing be related to memory use/abuse. Because PC and 16G, never had a problem.
