Random computer lockups

Hello my PC keeps randomly freezing sometimes I can play for 4-5 hours and then suddenly it freezes other times a few minutes. When it freezes I only have the option of force restarting (holding the power button)

My PC is custom, I've tried reformatting, I'm running on ultra/high settings (everything on apart from vsnyc) I'm using Xpadder if that makes a difference.

there has been a long standing issue where the game just freezes for a few seconds up to almost a minute. They have got it worked out for the most part, I myself still get a few second freeze every now and then. The next time it freezes make a note on how long you have been playing. Has your overclocked gpu's getting enough air? are there smokers in the room? when is the last time dust has been cleaned out of it. Just to make sure air is flowing properly.
Nicotine will cause dust to stick. I wouldn't assume it is your machine just yet. Make sure to bug report your freezes and how long they are lasting. It has been an ongoing fix and i think they are still working on it... hopefully as i hate my freezes as well.

My whole computer freezes and I have to turn it off, there are no smokers in my house and my PC is barely a month old. I've monitored the temp and at the time of a crash it's around 60 which should be fine.

I also have this problem. I get random lockups. I mean some days I can play all day no lock up. Then sometimes I have been playing for 10mins and boom lockup. I also have the AMD FX 9590 8core 4.7GHz

Yea, this only started happening to me yesterday. I can play anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, but sometimes the entire game will freeze and I have to force shutdown my PC.

I don't get freezes in other games I've been playing recently (Thief, Titanfall, etc.) so I'm not sure why it's doing it with ESO.

I'm wondering if this might be an AMD issue with ESO. I have the exact same issue with the screen freezing during the game, and the computer locking with no option but a hard shutdown using the power button. AMD radeon HD 6670

It may well be an AMD issue, I have an HD 6950 2GB.

Well, i also use AMD (Phenom II x4 B50@3.1GhZ and HD7850). i also get constant freezings (both short term ones, 1-4 secs, and complete pc freezes, the later ones being the standard for the past week or so.) but also know that nvidia is suffering from this too, mainly 600 and 700 series.

So...i dunno. Am not an expert, am an end user. I tried every tip i read, both here and out. As i write, am d/loading a fresh install from account as it dawned me that i had the beta install, with al these latest patches (could it be it? how awkward would it be as i had a flawless stability experience in beta?). I used Revo uninstaller and am doing it fresh. Decided to do it since last patch made no difference to the problem, and lately, i couldn't even report it, it would just freeze on any random action and had to force shut down pc. As neither the game nor the pc parts were free, this is the last try i'm giving it. If it doesn't work out, i will cancel subscription, sigh at the lost play time and so long and thanks for all the headaches. Was a very, and i mean very, pleasant experience while it work and lasted.

One thing i noticed when i crashed and was able to make a bug report was that after eso.exe was closed, TESO's launcher and any web browser i'd use would have it's content scrambled, misplaced, leading me to believe it had to do w .NETframework. Got all replaced and updated, was not able to bug report anymore...also, from the constant force closes, MOBO now only starts w one stick of ram. Both 2gb stick work ALONE on ANY of the 4 ram slots, pc starts. Both on any configuration, bios won't even post.

Long time fan, incredibly tolerant to bugs, specially on a project of this scale, but enough is enough.
