I was torn between Murkmire, that got me absolutely in love with Argonian culture, and Wrothgar.
But writing in Wrothgar is simply brilliant. It has depth, it doesn't suffer from that one-dimension-ness of recent stories where bad and good and all the plot twists and the ending can be seen from a mile away.3 -

✭Hew's BaneThis was a tough one! Seeing this poll makes me realize that the small zone DLCs have some of the best stories in the game. I'm voting Hew's Bane because the Thieves Guild is packed with wonderful characters and you get to see them all grow and evolve in their own ways, but Murkmire and Clockwork City were also close contenders.0 -

Margha_Ralmoren✭✭✭Imperial CityLike for many players Wrothgar was one of my favs, mostly because the story relies on more down to earth politic intrigues instead of the magic mumbo jumbo we mostly get.
But I also wanted to give credit to the Imperial City main story. It's pretty dark, you see all the hardships and horrors that the NPCs are going through and you can empathise even more with them because the zone is not easy to the player either, instead of all the other zones when you just have to sneeze on the story bosses to kill them, which cheapens any sense of danger we could feel.
I hope we'll get a part 2 someday where we can get a PVE instance of the imperial city where Molag Bal's forces are defeated by all the joined factions and we can help rebuild the city and banish the remaining daedras.
The main difficulty is that it's a PVP zone and I get that PVE players just want to enjoy the story without being interrupted.
I completed it with my PVE main on a dead campaign just after a midyear mayhem. It was a few weeks before IC and Cyrodiil were separated so they were even less players.0 -

Will made a minus about Gold Coast was was for me a total disappointment after Hew's bane.
In one you feel like a true thief from movie, on the assassin's one you just feel like a normal adventurer with what ? 2 use of the Sithis blade ? Boring, same for the story, huuu.[ PC EU ]
