Is there a way to increase the camera sensitivity when in gamepad mode on pc, the max is the default console speed but with a mouse it can be increased way beyond that. Would love it to turn a bit faster when in gamepad mode on pc

However when doing that they are handicapping themselves because of the slow camera movement compared to the M&K! I myself played for a whole year in PvP suffer because my camera movement couldn't keep up with the rest of the PC players, fortunately I learned about the UserSettings.ini file and the many configurations that it provides and VOALAH - inside the file I found the 2 following settings:
    SET GamepadSensitivityFirstPerson.2 "1.22000003"
    SET GamepadSensitivityThirdPerson.2 "1.00999990"

Which I increased to 1.8xxxxxx values, then the miracle happened, my camera was fast and responsive, I was able to keep up with every movement of my enemies which lead to satisfaction from my PvP Experience overall and once again I was competitive.

You can increase it...both in-game...and I used a 3rd party program that allows me to run a PS4 controller, it increases it as well, but regardless, its still super slow compared to a mouse....its the single biggest drawback to playing with a controller...in PvP anyway. If you are a sorc you have to start turning right as you streak if you are running a retreating battle.....and with a controller a templar with jabs just owns you.

Or just increase the GamepadSensitivityThirdPerson.2 setting in UserSettings.ini as per the video and link in my previous post.

    %userprofile%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\ for Windows
    ~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/ for OS X

    edit to add:
it would be nice if some friendly add-on author made use of it ;)

Awesome! When i came to the PC from PS4 a few months back this was the first setting I changed. Glad to see someone posted in the forums for players that needed the change.

GamepadSensitivityThirdPerson.2 a setting between 3 to 4.5 should be fast enough for most. 4.0 is extremely fast just an FYI. There are a few other QOL settings you can change in the INI as well.

This is amazing, thank you! Is there a way to edit ESO or Windows settings to eliminate the lag introduced by using a controller? Or the constant skill misfires? (pres the button, bar shows button press acknowledged, skill never fires, but magicka/stamina/ultimate is drained appropriately)

Unfortunately, no. Not to my knowledge.

I have always used controller and I seem to get some issues that other players don't get. It's quite frustrating and I really hope they fix the issues in the future, but I doubt it.

DS4 via Bluetooth apparently has a fraction of the latency of a wired connection, if you happen to have one:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/8wvf9u/controller_input_lag_comparison_more_info_in_the/

The issue I have with Bluetooth is that the battery on the DS4 doesn’t last particularly long, and ESO has (or at least had for a long time) a serious problem recognizing controllers after they got disconnected and reconnected. I was having to restart my whole computer any time the controller dropped. I’m also not sure how much latency the xinput wrapper might add.

As for the skills being unresponsive and draining resources without firing, I had put that down to server performance. The fact that the icon on screen depresses and the resource drains makes me think that the client is sending the info but the server’s goofing up, which would point to a client-server communication problem rather than a controller-client problem. But I could well be wrong. It happens way too often, whatever the case, especially in Cyrodiil. And gamepad mode is the red-headed stepchild in so many ways already that it wouldn’t surprise me if this were one more.

Wholly crap these setting really work. For some reason my settings were like 0.5 for those, I changed to 1.8 and it is 100% better. I did 8 battle ground matches and could literally see attackers, block/roll etc. Before I could literally have someone right in front of me attacking and I didn't know until half health is gone. And I used to get CCd like crazy without ever seeing the cast. Now I can see almost everything in front of me and have to be attacked from behind to be caught off guard. This little change is a literally game changer in PVP. Thanks for posting this.

I used to have to push my Ultimate like 5 times to get it to pop. Now still have to push it 2 times but that is way better.

@virtus753 I use an Xbox Elite and I haven't wanted to put the skills thing to server, but it may well be. It's really annoying to waste 50% more resources when so many things fail. I main mag Warden and once the double cast of shalk goes live that will help, but it's not enough.

I'm probably going to switch to something wired... because why Microsoft insisted that it's PRO controller only be wireless is beyond me.

Yeah, I hear you. I’m honestly not sure what’s due to the server and what’s due to the controller. Is this in Cyrodiil, by the way?

No, this is everywhere. It's most annoying in PvE. I don't even try to kill people with shalk anymore. Too unreliable and too easy to dodge.
