Ultimate and animation cancellation

Did they removed animation cancellation from templar and night blade ultimate ?
I can't bar swap cancel like before and it feels clunky as hell
Also it is just for templar and nightblade or for everyone?

    I'm not aware of other changes, but they did add a cast time to radial sweep last major update. And I agree, it feels clunky now. I always used to animation cancel it by bar swapping (that's what made it so strong in the first case), but now it's all sorts of funked up. Even after finishing the animation you are still locked out of bar swapping for a second or so.

    Its how zos wants their game to be.
    Not having players improve, but making it friendly for lazy ones that dont give a flying tusk about even trying to be anything but complete beginners.

    It’s just an extremely unfortunate change in rhetoric, someone high up is hell bent on making the game easier (lowering the skill gap, raising the floor lowering the ceiling).

    Every patch lately they have tried to sneak something in such as proposed changes to lower “actions per minute” to help casuals.

    There’s already casual content in this game, it’s called overland quests, and fortunately, this mmo has probably the most overland quests I’ve ever seen, on top of the highest quality ones, leaving that population plenty of content to par take in.

    Stop ruining what was such a fluid and beautiful combat system with horrible changes like the ultimate cast times 😞

    Yes basically because Bad players were crying they died in 1 gcd without counterplay when counterplay always existed in getting gud

    Yes basically because Bad players were crying they died in 1 gcd without counterplay when counterplay always existed in getting gud

    So they're gonna do every thing to not balance pve and pvp seperately amazing!

    Kind of related, 2 things I have found really annoying since coming back to the game after years off.
    TRhe hit stun on enemies attacks are most of the time no longer there. Snares are still everyehere but heavy attack CCs and the like no longer hit you hard from mobs, as if it is encouraging people to skip mechanics and just eat damage rather than dodge or even block!

    Another thing which really vexes me, I can't roll from a horse anymore. This used to be my go to way off a horse onto a node that skipped a hell of a lot of animations but now it is impossible to do. there was no need to take this away,It had no tactical
    If anyone could direct me to dev comments on this in patch notes I would be appreciated.

    Ideally a game could decide action was a hit or a miss when animation ends. That way actions could be cancelled with no effect and no loss of resources.
    However for this game just getting the action happen when I press the key would be nice.
