Hi, everyone! I've played off and on since the beginning of the game but I had to take an extended absence due to medical reasons. Have there been any major changes in gameplay or classes and where is a good place to go to relearn everything? Thanks for any help!

    So much has changed that its probably best to start a new character and learn the process from a new perspective so you can apply this knowledge to your existing characters.

    I left the game for a year (just came back about 3 weeks ago) and every single build I have has changed. Racial passives seemed to have changed across the board, this has changed the abilities I use, and in some cases the gear. This has also rendered some of my old builds useless (vampires I am looking at you) and I have had to shelf some characters.

    The Crown Crates/Gamble Crates/Loot Crates, whatever you want to call them seem to have less drop chance than before. This is not my own anecdotal observation, but many many others even trade guild leaders in the game have noticed this. So buyer beware IMO.

    The Hollojack event will be up soon so keep an eye out for that.

    If you do not have the newest expansion, Greymoor I would suggest purchasing that for the antiquities skill line (I personally think its pretty fun, much better than the Psyjiic stuff). It was just on sale, but I think the sale is over. If you have to budget your spending, maybe try a game key website like CD keys or something to get a few dollars off.

    Okay, well there have been a lot of changes since Eslweyr which is when you would have left. Lots of rebalancing, some testing currently ongoing in Cyrodiil, and a few reworks like the Vampire rework.

    Patch notes are the best place to start looking because it could take hours typing everything that's happening. o_o;

    Thanks to everyone! I bought Greymoor and plan to start a new character. I'm trying to read the forums but they are bugging out for me, flickering and the page slowly moves up. Not sure what's happening but it's really hard to read so I think I'm just going to jump into the game and figure everything out as I go.

    Always the best approach in my view - your experience will be free of other players' bias and perspective!
