Remove pre buffing completely from the game

Its a stupid idea that we players farm aditional sets for a 20-30 seconds of a stronger burst.

I truly hope Arkasis and other ULT gen buffs are not the end, but rather just the beginning of the end of pre buffing.

Simply making all buffs reset on a boss/in combat would be really nice. Pre buffing also creates a huge power creep between those who do, and do not. which is not healthy for the game

bruh pre buffing in pvp is important for both fights and ganking.

for pve i cant comment, though i agree its kind of silly to have everyone in the group gather and pre buff with sets

PVE especially when soloing dungeons prebuffs on certain classes are the only way they are going to survive certain add pulls and boss fights. Take for instance stamblade. I’m prebuffing leeching strikes, mirage, shade and relentless focus and running straight into hell sometimes. I can get blown up if I have to go through all that actively in my rotation.

Mag DK same thing with channel accel, molten armaments and volatile armour. You need to run in buffed up and kill things fast or you are dead on the spot.

The trade being for all those buffs your going in with a smaller rss pool to kill things.

If you wanted to remove the ability to prebuff by set swapping specifically, I could get on board with that. If you're suggesting that all forms of buffing before combat be removed, I'd suggest you won't likely find that to be a popular option.

    What you're asking for would...

    - remove the ability to cast rapids for any effect unless you're in combat
    - same thing with race against time
    - already mentioned but key buffs like crit surge, leeching strikes, etc. could not be applied until combat has started
    - cloak is great to get out of combat, but sometimes you want to use it before it starts
    - I'm sure there are a ton more game breaking examples

i have never played pvp. what im talking about is pre buffing with sets like jorvulds and moondancer before trial bosses.

not to mention this particular cheese is pc exclusive, and cant be done on console, again creating (an already big) powercreep which is not healthy

As there is no interaction between PC and console any power discrepancies matter none. Using pre-buffs or not is a choice players get to make. It isn't power creep to take advantage of an ability others decide to ignore.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

He's probably talking about the dressing room add-on or whatever it is that let's pc swap entire sets with one button press. We don't have that...feature on console.

What is problematic is that the game's endgame achievements are designed around/tested on pts using all of these optimal add-ons, which DOES matter when it comes to speed runs. But, I digress.
