Hello everyone !

I have purchased the furnishing pack sinister Hollowjack and I just wanted to warn future buyers of the big disappointement probably waiting for them too.

The Witches Festival Scarecrow counts as special furniture, like pets, mounts, guests.

Not only this limit has less sense than ever with the house guests being implemented, but listing this kind of items as "special collection" is totally absurd.

As a comparison, this guy counts as normal furniture :

I was planning on buying at least 2 more packs, now I won't. that's too bad cos the item itself is beautiful. I'll just ask for refund.

It seems that I can't edit my topic : I just want to precise that the scarecrow counts as special furniture, not like the pets, but the other very reduced category. It doesn't change the whole problem though. It should just be a normal furniture !

Ty for the heads up. I dont understand their reasoning. We can spam 300 cups in a cupboard and its not an issue, but a prop like this needs to be used in limited quantities?!?!?

I initially thought their reasoning behind this stuff was to ensure players do not lag themselves out because its easy to do so in a "building game" (I know this is not a building game, but the homes allow for some heavy prop usage), but now I think it has more to do with their end. I dont know if its data storage, or data transmission, but I would bet their decision is based on cost in some form.

You are welcome Raideen. And I totally agree with you.
It doesn't make sense to me neither.

I checked : the training dummies are normal furniture too for example, including the one from sinister Hollowjack pack.

What distinguishes normal/special looks totally random from our point of view.

Other examples of weirdness : the Shadow Tendril Patch and the brand new celestial nimbus are considered normal, but the Fogs of the Hag Fen are special.

I wish someone from ZOS would give explanation about that.

Can you create a path for the scarecrow?

No. No path for this one. It is just a furniture, beautiful, but ordinary.
Nb As I corrected in my second post (couldn't edit the OP) it is "special furniture" not pet.

But about pets, we can't make path for the stone pet or the novelty stick mount, which was also disappointing.

It's not a normal piece of furniture, though.
It's animated, with a swarm of crows flying around the head.

I agree that this furniture is different. :) But the problem is about the categories and why an item fits in one and not in the other. As stated before there are many items that are animated (and even have special functions like the training dummies) and are in the normal category.
It doesn't feel right that this one enters a very limited category.
