PvP is more broken than ever.

I'm a healer and I'll return to PvP when and if this latest experiment is done. I hope the duration of the current mess is short.

Good luck to those who remain. <3

I actually hope they put a 3 second cooldown on all purge effects then add in this weeks 12 member group limit plus the healing restrictions. As that would at least be an actual step to reducing performance issues. Sometimes sacrifices must be made for the good of the servers. I hope Zenimax takes that to mind when they look through the data. But I know how hard it will be for some players and I understand this.

It's now more laggy than it was last week. People are DCing left, right, and center.

Not sure if that can save it. If what happens over the past weekend, happens during an AOE test, the future seems pretty grim.

What ZOS, or should we say MS, should do is monetize PVP. Sell PVP zones or something to create sustainability. It's not exactly rocket science, and I'm not sure why ZOS hasn't done this over the many years Cyrodiil has been out.

Even more than that, remove Cyrodiil as a whole, and create mini-zones (like ICP), because there probably less than 30% of all Cyrodiil is being used at a given time and it's probably the largest map in the entire game.
Praying the Daedric Gods will make Cyrodiil great again.

It's not skills, its the population.
If 50 people in the same place cannot use skills, HOW CAN IT BE THE SKILLS?!

Horrible performance during test, horrible illogical restrictions. It seems, that zos hates healers. Why cant we have the test, where dps cannot target certain other players to reduce calculations? Healers always get dullest sets, vampire rework was catered exclusively for dps, heals were nerfed, proc sets were buffed, every latest dungeon is laden with one-shots and now this.

I freaking love it. If you want to heal, join a group. If you want to play alone, then build for solo play. Unless ball groups are around, servers are doing way better than any other test period. Played for about 5 hours last night. No disconnects, no load screens, my heals actually healed ME when I needed them to. No issues with me if this week becomes permanent.

These are just tests. They are produced in order to obtain some data, and not in order to make some decisions at once. Be patient. However, yes, it is frustrating that throughout all the tests, the lags did not disappear anywhere. This suggests that a solution to the playable Cyrodiil will never be found. I really hope that ZoS will write an open letter after completing these tests and tell us about the results.

I haven't PvP'ed in months, completely skipped the Midyear Mayhem event this year...if it isn't enjoyable, there really isn't any reason to play it, its that simple. They'll never have it working the way it was intended because it comes down to return on investment. There simply isn't enough capitol to invest in this portion of the game to make it viable, its a business decision.

IMO, As a healer I love this change. No more pugs taking heals that are for the group.

Feel for you. I gen play a tanky type. No master pvp'r but can stand on a ram / storm a breach pretty well. Finding groups pretty pointless at the moment - at least pugs. Lots of waiting round then lots of failed sieges because they don't have the critical mass. And performance is still just as bad - massive desyncs and skills not firing by 6 last night to the point I just gave up. I think the "cyro 's better than it's ever been" brigade are just people who don't like groups pushing an agenda.

It's not all bad tho. You might want to try another toon. Just throwing it out there. Ive switched to my NB and I'm just soloing now, ganking the poor fools who are still grouping up and trying to take keeps. Not my preferred style of gameplay but, because there are so many ineffectual sieges now, the rewards are pretty good. I was just hopping between forts last night and the defense ticks were rolling in. Ofc you've got to avoid the ball groups - they're still alive and well - but I usually go elsewhere when they show anyway.

I figure Zeni are probably going to roll this back - if it sticks cyro's just going to be a bunch of gankers and ball groups sitting in forts - but if Ive learned one thing about this game, it's that there's a new meta every month, and you just sort of have to roll with it.
