Dual wield on the back (optional)

I wonder how cool it might be to be able too keep your long swords or axes on the back instead at the waist. I mean keeping 1h maul isn't a good idea but for example if you using a sword or an axe style you can swap thier position to the back using outfit station. I do not like when my weapons are going through my legs so X way on the back would be great to make our characters more varied in terms of style.

If there were no technical contraindications, do you think it would be good? I know it's not practical expect when you are a witcher xD but I think it looks cool.

The modeling for it is in game already. Whenever my dual wielding mage recast an ability like a sorc pet, the swords are on the back during casting instead of hips.

I want my fat Nord's katana handles both above his right shoulder. I also want an orange tunic and a dog named Rufferto, but that's just me.

This would be awesome! I like for my daggers to stay on my hips, but when I'm wielding 2 swords, it would be nice to see them in an X on my back.

Only a mendicant would be attired so.

No, no, no. No dog names Rufferto. That crosses some unnamed, unmarked, and unimportant line hidden somewhere in the desert sands of Alik'r.

From a practical standpoint...the only time medieval warriors EVER wore their swords(whether longsword or 2 hander) on their back was when wearing them at the hip wasn't practical. In the case of a 2 handed sword, they are just too long to carry at the hip, so they are always on the back...but they are NOT quick to draw. One handed swords are worn at the hip because that is where they are quickest to access...but an army on the march would often strap even one handed swords to the back so as to make the march easier. Have you ever tried to draw a sword strapped to your back? To do so in any reasonable amount of time, your arm has to be longer than the blade you are drawing by about 4-5 inches. I have several swords in real life myself....and there is not a single one that is practical to draw from the back...the best sheathes for one handed swords are baldrics that hang across the body putting the weight of the sword on your shoulder while hanging it at the hip. For 2 handed swords, you "draw" the weapon by shrugging out of the harness and casting the scabbard aside.

Not that any real world considerations apply to a video game in any way, shape or form.

I actually did laugh out loud. Your response made my day.
