Challenging yourself (long-term TODO list)

I want to ask the community about things that you not necessarily supposed to do, but want to do, because find it challenging.

Some of these could be already included in Achievments list, the others you invent by yourself.
I don't mean obvious things like "get to the max level" or "become an Emperor".

For example, here is my list:
- Collect skyshards in Cyrodiil, that are behind enemy Gates.
- Learn every possible crafting style.
- Learn every single Provisioning recipe in the game.
- Capture Elder Scroll (be the carrier).
- Grow two horses: the fastest horse and most capacious horse in the game.
- Raise all three class skill lines to 50.
- Test out long-range bow build: Snipe morphed to Focused Aim + Reach + Battle Spirit Buff (I find Snipe and Reach quite hard to level up)

So... what are your long-term goals?

@d0e1ow: There is no singular thing within a game's little ecosystem that will convince you that you hate the game, hate your life, and hate everyone around you faster than the game's official forums will.

@TaffyIX: Life is too short to get upset by a video game.

I find this approach very interesting.

In classic mmos I usually choose the underdog class or skill line and try to make it "successful". So in teso, I choose to level more skill lines than average by just putting one point into them and placing those on my hotbar. That way I'll later get ,mix and match different skills from very different skills line to build something maybe more original..I know I probably could achieve the same result with a respec. But I hate respec: I think it just kind of breaks the "role system".

I barely feel "unique" because I'm sure that's what a lot of people are doing.More or less.. Most of them probably just use the respec to do it later.

    Now..about other long term goals..

    - Specialization around poison / pots and food: most for a personal use than for trade. My skill build is about lasting longer in small fights to make a good use of them even with their 30 sec timer.
    - I'll also spend a lot of time in the pvp areas, solo, hidden, to know them perfectly and be able to use the ground to my advantage ( cliffs, rivers - I'm an argonian with increased swim speed , perfect spots for traps, etc..)

At the very very beginning of DAOC, I was a guide for dangerous places. I was able to teach a small party how to avoid too difficult fights and get to specific areas for specific loots. They had to trust me: I was gathering all the loots to distribute them, equally when we were back and safe. My payment was their satisfaction and being able to have them on my side to fight and loot mobs that I struggled to do solo.

    That is what I use achievements for, instead of complaining that there is nothing to do in this game (which is a crap attitude to have) I open up the achievements channel and go do something new to enjoy. In regards to your list;

    - No need to worry about this, my guild spends one weekend a month doing these runs for new players and alts.
    - Over time but I will get there.
    - Maybe, in time, I don't level provisioning enough to care.
    - No interest in the war personally.
    - Currently in motion :P
    - Over time, currently working on all 3 armour types for my main.
    - Maybe, in time, as I level all my skills.

    Now for my own, that you might like that, that I intend to work on;
    - Making sure all spots on the entire map are white (in progress).
    - Fishing, the whole achievement panel.
    - A class of each type at 50 (in progress).
    - A character in each faction (in progress).
"Neither a 'Borrower nor a Lender' be."
    Never Forget

I think you have not been on the internet long enough until you have been rick-rolled.

    - Bed Queen Ayrenn, take videos , sell 'em to the Daggerfall tabloids.
    - Assassinate the prophet, all the bastage does is ask me to do things for 'em and it never seems to be enough.
    - Break into the "Impenetrable vault" , steal everything in sight and sell it on E-bay
    - Do a weekend in Vegas with Sheogorath, should make the movie "The Hangover" look like a Disney flick.
    - Talk a vampire into paying me to let him bite someone else.
