Ive been in Pvp almost every single day since the tests began and most of us who have done that have said there is only one test that stopped the lag (up to yet) and that is test No 1 . People dont like to say it because if that is the solution its the most drastic of all.
I have Pvped in this game since 2014 and that test is the first noticable difference Ive seen since the problems started to arise and personally if the last 2 tests don't work and ZoS does not implement test No1 then Im done. I love the pvp in this game and have suffered all sorts of crap to play it and if I see a solution ignored that I know worked then I will delete this game for good.
Why are you guys even playing Cyrodill when it's so bad?
Honestly, you all know how bad it is but keep going in?
It's like putting your hand in a fire then complaining how hot it is.
Maybe if people stopped going in there and it became dead then they would do something about it?

You mean, "where else can we play ESO PvP with our friends". Most of the PvE part of ESO was specifically designed to be played with friends, and there are tons of other PvP games to choose from where grouping for small scale, fast-paced skirmishes is still a thing and not in any danger of being entirely removed because "premade groups have an unfair advantage". Not trying to insult you here, just saying that you might want to get a broader perspective.
At this point, I think players clinging to PvP should at least consider that maybe that great PvP game the developers envisioned at launch is now just a fantasy. To me, the alluring short glimpses of what the PvP game mode could have been when it chooses not to act up completely are really just a painful reminder of what it isn't.
Here, I could make comparisons to abusive relationships, or drug addictions, but it would be a bit like invoking Godwin's law, so I won't. I will just say that the psychology is similar, although very, very different in terms of severity and impact, and any comparison to that kind of real world problems would be grossly inappropriate and unfair to those who suffer from them.

Pride could be part of it as well, and maybe even a stubborn die-hard refusal to admit failure and abandon it. Perhaps they even still hold a faint hope that they will be able to fix it. However, their unwillingness to fix it in the obvious way, i.e. by throwing more server resources at it like during the event, tells me that they have no budget for that, and that their money is made elsewhere.
PvP is a big problem for them. They never really delivered on their bold promise from 2014 of massive siege warfare battles with hundreds of players. It could be a wise move to just get rid of it. I'm not saying it is, because I don't have nearly enough information to tell, but it could be. At a certain point, walking away and admitting defeat becomes the least bad option

I don't think he needs to chill out...
It's been like this since the release of harrowstorm... which was february... The reduction of aoe was meant to elevate this performance and it's just as bad...
The fact that they broke 4 platforms to add another is unacceptable imo.
Selling it as performance improvement by removing the spaghetti code off the client and dumping it on the server obviously has had a very negative effect. All so stadia could have efficient access to the spaghetti code.
I think any other company would have reverted a patch that did as much damage as harrowstorm did. I believe people have a right to be upset by it.
I was looking forward to performance during the tests despite the cost of achieving it, but it still runs like trash regardless!

well said, ive only played 5-6 months and im already wondering where ESO is spending their resources. They really need to concentrate on fixing this problem. Any other game with the lowest of budgets would have fixed this by now, it's odd that they haven't found a solution. I wonder if they even care.
Agree, with an global cooldown on AoE this will have an massive impact on PvE on everything from public dungeons to trials.TineaCruris wrote: »Ive been in Pvp almost every single day since the tests began and most of us who have done that have said there is only one test that stopped the lag (up to yet) and that is test No 1 . If they go with mandated lag, which is what global cool down is, everyone I know will uninstall this game.
The solution is to take a very small portion of their profits and put the game back onto servers that can handle running the game, not to tell the players it's their fault things aren't working correctly.
We still haven't been told why and how things worked so much better during the Midyear Mayem event and why we can't just do that full time. That solution worked.
And by the way, once the IC event ended and people came back to cyrodiil during the first AOE "test", lag was as bad as ever and certainly worse than prior to the "tests".

I can't wait to hear their conclusions at the end of these tests.

They know what the problem is, they just pretend to do something about it.
