What does "AAA" mean?
AAA (pronounced and sometimes written Triple-A) is an informal classification used for video games produced and distributed by a mid-sized or major publisher, typically having higher development and marketing budgets.

That desire to play with friends in a TES game is where the housing community, the RP community and LOTS of money and support for this game comes from.
If you want to play "something else" go do it.
Many many many of us are here because of TES and would appreciate more (and more accurate) use of TES lore.
TequilaFire Neither of those is being developed by ZOS. Starfield is being developed by Bethesda Softworks while Commander Keen is under development by id Software.
From the leaks back during 2018, this game whatever ZOS is developing for the last three years, was slated to be a live service MMO of a completely different IP.
This, note that the current scale of updates are much lower than making the game, one and a half zone a year basically. Having both the chapter and dlc in the same region saves a lot since you can reuse lots of the content. If ZOS gave up on ESO why do they add QOL features? Why do they bother with Cyro performance tests and combat tweaks? They could just roll out some Smolder Scrolls-level quests and crown store shinies and fix only absolutely game-breaking bugs. No pettable dogs for you. No nice characters. No balancing attempts. No new activities or mechanics. Maintenance mode.
But I guess this is "sky is falling" thread, so... Gamer out.
