Class change for... x amount of crowns
When you can just make a new class and buy whatever skill lines you need anyway lol don’t see a point in a whole class change.
why you need to redo everything you've done with your main?xI_The_Owl_Ix wrote: »So yes, while its easy to level up an alt-char, its not easy to re-do everything youve done on your main
As much as I am all for options and being able to adjust anything... I don't think class change should exist. Many players would all revert to the flavor of the month with every patch. Which would create a really unfair situation for other classes. Players should stick to the class they choose, or simply respec one they already have.

I roll an alt and last 5 minutes before the 0% mount speed (and the implications it has for all the other achievements I have to redo) kills the experience for me.
ZOS are losing out on a huge amount of longevity provided by alts because they lock tedious grinds to each character.

Youre right it isnt. I have several chars, all of them lvl 50 and geared out.
But you know what is difficult and extremely time consuming?
- Getting 110+ titles
- Gathering 30k+ achievement points
- Finding and reading 3k+ lorebooks
- Learning the majority of style books
- Learning 500+ furnishing plans
- Researching every trait
- Maxing out your mount
- PvPing and lvling up your rank
- Playing for almost 250 days (5959 hours!!!)
This character is my main, he is a nightblade. Unfortunatly I dont enjoy playing a NB anymore as much as I used to. Meanwhile I love playing my DK but even when I play him, I keep thinking about how I could be playing my main and the class I most enjoy (DK). However I cant, because theres no option to change class. Heck there arent even shared achievement points/motifs/furnishing plans/consumables.
So yes, while its easy to level up an alt-char, its not easy to re-do everything youve done on your main, its especially disheartening because I want to play that exact character. The character who unlocked his first in-game achievement the day the game was released. The character I share the most memories with. The character that I played for the most time.

you dont have to use class skills, you can do other stuff, i know you want to go dk but maybe just change how you play ur nb, when reading ur post i thought what would i do and i would go and change skills and just use 1 nb skill

Just enjoy pure gameplay with an alt, while getting all achievements with your main. Problem solved?
Oh and im sure like 99% that when you change your NB to any other class, in just a few weeks or even days, you want to return everything back. Cuz main is main. Main toon is for life.

However, the crown store sales would probably drop drastically if they had a class change token because then nobody would need to spend crowns on mount speed upgrades, skill lines, skyshards, and so on.
From a moneymaking point of view, this company would probably rather have people buy many tokens, upgrades, skill lines, etc. from the store than just one token to rule them all
But I totally agree with OP: my main is a nightblade that I had since launch, did as much as I could with her. I have a special connection with that character. Yet, I would love to play as her being a warden instead, or maybe a templar or something DIFFERENT just for a change.
I don't have another 6 years of resources to get an alt character back up to where my main is, sadly.
Off curse we don't need to solve these kinds of things with a class change token. What really is unecessarily convoluted and complicated (i.e. bad games design) is not having achievments, style motifs and other acquired skills be account wide.
It makes it so you need to think twice about what character you choose when your going for that nodeath-achievment (hmm what characters did i do speedrun on? "Sorry guys, i gotta change character, again, i think it was my sorc i used on HM"),
it makes it so you have to bank all your style pages, to check if your main character has learned it (i know, addons, not SoZ design, can alieviate that..),
It makes it so you have to throw that shiny new sword into the bank, to relog into your crafter, just so you can get the lowest cost on golding it out. then you have to log back.
This makes for a big portion of boring, non rewarding gameplay. Just a hassle. Part of what wears at least me out. Alot of other games have streamlined these kinds of things by going accountwide, paving the way for gameplay designed for mostly fun activities (wow, what a concept)! Might even keep costumers!
In other words, we dont need a class change token, we need a simpler more streamlined system. Not more clutter. Look at diablo 3, got that right 10+ years ago
